Is Angelina Jolie Manipulating The Public And Her Kids Into Thinking Brad Pitt Is A Bad Father?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the midst of a nasty divorce and custody battle and according to a new report, Jolie may have been extremely calculating in the weeks leading up to their split.
Following Angelina Jolie’s September 19 divorce filing, a source claims the 41-year-old actress set Pitt up to make him look bad to both the public and their six kids as part of her shocking “smear campaign.”
In the latest issue of In Touch Weekly, via a report by Headlines & Global News on November 2, it is alleged that everything that happened between the couple and their family was a complete set up. As the magazine explained, Pitt has been accused of child abuse, but the allegations against him may be Angelina Jolie’s attempt at destroying his reputation.

Before she filed for divorce, Angelina Jolie secretly rented a home in Malibu, California, where she promptly took her kids after blindsiding Pitt with the news of their split. Since then, Jolie and the children, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight, have been enjoying their beachside home while Pitt remains in their former family home in the Hollywood Hills.
The In Touch Weekly report also suggested that Angelina Jolie was attempting to fight for her and Pitt’s money, despite their prenuptial agreement, which was signed before they tied the knot in August of 2014. That said, Pitt reportedly has no intention of splitting his assets with Angelina Jolie — especially after the launch of her alleged smear campaign against him.
The Headlines & Global News report hinted that there was more to the story about Pitt’s alleged plane fight with Maddox, but unfortunately, no details were given. As fans will recall, the reported altercation between Pitt and his oldest son is what led to a child abuse investigation being launched against him.
“It was during the descent into the Minnesota airport that all hell broke loose,” a source explained to In Touch Weekly, via a report by Hollywood Life in September. “[Pitt] told Pax to sit down and Pax told his dad to ‘shut the f**k up,’ causing Brad to get out of his seat and get in Pax’s face and tell him to ‘f**king sit down now.'”
“[Maddox Jolie-Pitt] then got in the middle of it and [Angelina Jolie] started screaming hysterically,” the source continued. “Workers on the tarmac could hear [Pitt] and [Angelina Jolie] yelling before they even got off… Brad was seriously drunk.”

When Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing was first announced, sources told TMZ that her decision to file was the result of conflict over their kids and Pitt’s alleged substance abuse and anger issues. According to the report, Angelina Jolie requested physical custody of her and Pitt’s kids and asked a judge to give Pitt visitation.
“[Angelina Jolie]’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children… she was extremely upset with his methods,” sources explained to the outlet. In addition, “[Angelina Jolie] became ‘fed up’ with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is ‘an anger problem’… felt it became dangerous for the children.”
In a statement to TMZ at the time of the actress’ filing, Angelina Jolie’s entertainment attorney Robert Offer said she made the decision “for the health of the family.”
Although Angelina Jolie wants full custody of their kids, Pitt intends to fight for joint.
