The Iron Man 3 trailer is currently available on Facebook, though it’s arrival comes with a serious catch: Unless you “like” the official page for the upcoming flick, it will never be unlocked. Only through the combined power of social media can folks enjoy the first trailer for the highly-anticipated motion picture.
According to the folks at Cinema Blend, the only way you can get your hands on the Iron Man 3 trailer is to charge the virtual arc reactor by “liking” the Facebook page. Unless people get on board and venture to the website, the trailer could be locked away for quite some time. However, given the popularity of the franchise, chances are fans will get their hands on the preview in no time flat.
Comic Book Movie reports that, as of this writing, the official plot of the film is unknown. While it has been confirmed that the titular hero will locked horns with his arch-enemy Mandarin for this particular cinematic outing, nothing specific has been revealed. Hopefully this will change with the appearance of a new trailer.
In addition to the trailer that’s currently under lock and key at Facebook, the promotional team working diligently behind-the-scenes of the film has unleashed another poster for the flick. It’s nothing special — Iron Man is dramatically flying away from a series of fiery explosions — but it’s sure to keep the fanboys happy until the arc reactor is fully charged.
In addition to series staples Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau, Paul Bettany, and Don Cheadle, Iron Man 3 also stars Guy Pearce, William Sadler, and Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin. The film, which will arrive in theaters on May 3, 2013, will be available in two-dimensional and three-dimensional flavors.
To help power the virtual arc reactor, swing by the official Iron Man 3 Facebook page and contribute your “like” to the cause.
