Blake And Gwen Wedding On Hold? Couple Pumps Brakes On Winter Nuptials [Report]

Blake and Gwen have put their wedding on hold, according to Life & Style Magazine. According to the report, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were planning on getting married this winter, but friends have suggested that they take things slow and not rush to get married.

“Gwen’s friends kept telling her to slow down and not rush into things. So she and Blake decided to take their advice,” shared a source.

Since both Blake and Gwen recently got divorced, this was pretty sound advice.

A Blake and Gwen wedding has been rumored for several months now with plenty of outlets reporting that the couple not only wants to tie the knot, but they also want to have a baby together. Although Gwen Stefani is 47-years-old, the media insists that she’s ready for baby number four and continuously reports that Gwen would do just about anything to have a daughter (she has three sons with ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale).

News that Blake and Gwen’s wedding has been postponed isn’t all bad, however. According to sources, the couple is really hoping to plan something amazing and putting off their wedding is giving them extra time to do just that.

“They would love to go somewhere tropical like Tahiti or Hawaii,” shared a source.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met on the set of The Voice when both were going through pretty serious divorces. Blake had recently split from his wife, Miranda Lambert, after four years of marriage. Gwen’s relationship with her husband Gavin Rossdale fell apart around the same time after cheating allegations rocked their 13-year marriage. Blake and Gwen became fast friends and were able to bond over their respective divorces, leaning on each other for support.

That said, a Blake and Gwen wedding could really be the next step in their relationship, while skipping right over an engagement because they’ve both “been there, done that.” And while all of those rumors keep churning in the mill, there are other reports out there about trouble in paradise.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Blake and Gwen might be putting off their wedding for other reasons.

“Sources say that Blake Shelton is willing to give Gwen Stefani anything and everything, while the ‘Hollaback’ singer has her three children and their futures to worry about. Of course Gwen has to protect herself, her children and her finances before she ultimately ties the knot with Blake Shelton. She can’t afford to risk any potentially bad moves and that’s why she wants to make sure her prenup with Blake is as solid as she can expect. And considering that Blake is taking it no where as seriously as she is has most definitely taken a toll on their relationship. If Blake is already taking financial matters such as a prenup lightly, than Gwen has everyone reason to believe he’ll be the same way when they get married, and she simply can’t afford that. Considering everything she’s been through with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, she doesn’t want to repeat the same mistakes twice. And that’s why she and Blake are constantly arguing over their prenup.”
