‘Big Brother: Over The Top’ Spoilers: Who Is Safe Week 5, Who Is America’s Nominee, Who Won Power Of Veto?

Over the weekend, activity in the Big Brother: Over the Top house was rampant. As the Week 5 Head of Household (HOH) held the two-day Safety Ceremony, America decided which cast member to place on the nomination block. Also, the Power of Veto (POV) challenge was won by a houseguest who may use it to change the game.

Currently, Danielle Lickey is the BBOTT HOH and held her Week 5 Safety Ceremony on Saturday and Sunday. Predictably, Danielle chose three members of her alliance to save on the initial day of the event, making sure Justin Duncan, Kryssie Ridolfi, and Big Brother 17 veteran Jason Roy were all comfortable knowing they were secure in the Big Brother: Over the Top house – at least for one more week.

On Sunday, Danielle was back at it and chose Morgan Willett, her sister Alex Willett, and Scott Dennis to keep safe. This meant Shelby Stockton and Whitney Hogg were chosen by Danielle to be at risk for eviction.

It should be noted as an aside that when Morgan and Alex entered the BBOTT house, they decided to pretend they were complete strangers to one another. They have been so successful at this ruse, and the other houseguests are still oblivious to the fact they are siblings, despite living in the Big Brother: Over the Top abode with them for almost a month and a half.

In any case, some cast mates were surprised that Danielle kept Scott safe from the block, as just days before, on October 26, the two engaged in a heated confrontation, as previously reported by the Inquistr. Danielle accused Scott of being a bully because he had proclaimed he was going to torment her psychologically as part of his Big Brother: Over the Top game. The argument went on for a while, with both houseguests feeling as though they would not speak to one another for the duration of the game.

Thus, when Danielle won the Week 5 HOH not long after this tense encounter, it was expected she would target Scott, but she chose not to.

Unfortunately for Scott, however, although he escaped nomination at the hands of Danielle, America had a different idea. On Monday morning, at around 10 a.m. Big Brother: Over the Top house time, America’s Nominee was revealed to cast members, and they learned Scott had been placed on the chopping block by viewers, according to Joker’s Updates.

Only hours later, a very spooky Halloween-themed POV was played by several cast members, including HOH Danielle, nominees Shelby, Whitney, and Scott, and randomly chosen houseguests Jason and Justin.

Essentially, the players were required to find three particular items and place them in a wooden chest within in the BBOTT house, which had been transformed into a pseudo-haunted house with real people in costumes lurking about in the shadows. The lights were off, and the POV participants only had one small light to help them navigate the rooms with a time limit of 15 minutes. The houseguest who completed this POV challenge in the fastest time won the task and the awesome gold medallion.

Although Justin and Scott were swift and very close in time, Danielle was extremely fast in both collecting the items and returning them to the crate, so she was the Week 5 Big Brother: Over the Top POV winner.

On Tuesday, the POV ceremony will be held to determine if the power will be used to save a nominee, and strangely, Danielle has been talking about using the power on Scott.

Because Scott is America’s Nominee, if Danielle does choose to save him, only Shelby and Whitney will remain on the block, because the BBOTT rules state that when a nominee chosen by America is saved, there will be no replacement nominee chosen.
