Kim Kardashian Promotes Phone Case After Paris Robbery? ‘I Love My LuMee Case’

Kim Kardashian was on a social media hiatus after being robbed at gunpoint for $10 million dollars worth of lavish jewelry. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has remained relatively quiet to her 48 million followers on Twitter and 86 million followers on Instagram. The mother-of-two even celebrated her birthday in silence, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Now, Kim seems to be hard at work. Kardashian seemingly returned to social media, sharing a Facebook post to her 29 million followers to promote her LuMee smartphone case.

‘Downtime #LumeeCollab’

LuMee is a smartphone case that offers front-facing LED lights. The case was invented in 2011 by Allan Shoemake, a Jersey-based professional photographer.

Shoemake discussed his experience of Kim using the phone case in a club setting during a chat with This Is Insider.

“The first time I spoke to Kim [Kardashian West] we were talking about that… When you bring the case out in a bar or a club and you turn it on and start taking pictures with it, it’s like people are drawn to that light.”

The #LuMeeCollab post is thought of to be old, as Kim had her 2011 BlackBerry Bold in her lap. Days ago, Kardashian was photographed after the robbery wearing very little makeup while getting frozen yogurt in Beverly Hills with BFF Jonathan Cheban. Elite Daily questioned if Kim’s frozen yogurt outing was staged.

According to the company’s website, LuMee is the first smartphone to provide great lighting for selfies and video chat.

Kim appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and took a selfie with democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton while using her LuMee phone case.

Adding to her brief social media appearance on Facebook, Kim shared a link from her website on last-minute Halloween costume ideas. The article was written by Kim’s friend, Steph Shep.

Kardashian also shared an old video of her sister Kourtney with a caption that reads, “Love these old videos!”

Kim K. shared a picture of herself and sister Kourtney while they were out and about in the French capital on October 3, the day she was robbed.

Us Weekly revealed Kim returned to Twitter to trim her follow list from 121 down to 108 accounts on October 13. Kim’s latest public appearance occurred at Kanye West’s concert at the Forum. Kim kept a low profile during the secret outing.

Forbes reported Khloe Kardashian said the horrific robbery was a serious wake-up call for the family.

“Sadly, we’ve all had stalkers. And that’s not normal. But in our family, it was our normal.”

A source close to the Kardashian’s told People that Kim is still figuring out her life and has a positive outlook.

“She is still figuring out her life. She still has no plans for any work appearances, but her outlook on life seems more positive. She has calmed down a lot since the robbery.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had this to say about Kim Kardashian’s hiatus.

“She’s doing great. It’s so crazy. Obviously, nobody knows how they would react to that kind of situation and I have no idea what I would do… I have no idea what my life would be like after. I can’t even fathom it. So I’m just proud that she’s back at home and with her babies.”

Legend told ET Online that although the incident brings a tale of caution, one should enjoy their life.

“It makes you think about everything… You know, the world, I do not think is, you know, it is not full of danger at every turn, but there is enough out there that you need to be aware of it, and, you know, be as cautious as you can while still enjoying yourself and not living in a box and kind of imprisoning yourself to the fear that something could happen.”

ET Online reported Kim’s family and friends took over her personal app and updated it with new content after Kardashian, 36, stepped away from social media. Considering this, the recent updates on her Facebook page could be posted by others within her personal circle.

Kardashian has rarely been seen out and about since the Paris ordeal and is expected to miss the Angel Ball. The annual cancer research fundraiser will honor Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, who died of the disease in 2003. The event will be held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on November 21.

A publicist for the event said Kim is not expected to be present.

“Kim is not expected to attend at this time.”

Khloe told Good Morning America that since the Paris robbery, the family’s priorities have shifted and has made them think twice about how they should interact with fans.

“We’ve been able to adjust and make some changes in the way that we post [on social media], but in no way do I want this to affect the heart of the family… We have to think about safety first. You’re putting your life out there in real time. We’re now taking a lot more precaution, but the girls do enjoy their social media and the relationship they have with their followers and their fans. We just have to navigate it a bit differently.”
