Bella Hadid Wanted A Sexy Selfie After Making Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Cut, But Forgot One Important Detail

Bella Hadid tried to celebrate making this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with a sexy selfie, but the model forgot one important detail before snapping her picture.

As Cosmopolitan first noted about the Bella Hadid selfie, the situation surrounding the model seems to be normal enough. Hadid — stripped down to her black lingerie and standing next to makeup artist Vincent Oquendo — appears to be standing in a kitchen in front of a full-length mirror. Although it’s unclear why Bella is receiving her touch up in a room designated for cooking, that still isn’t the important detail that appears off in the photograph.

In her haste to record the moment, Bella Hadid only pulled her pants down, leaving her camouflage pants around her ankles. Was there not enough time to fully disrobe, or at the very least crop the picture to leave that detail out of the photograph?

Nerves could also have played a role in the oversight. Bella Hadid had just returned from auditioning for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the freshly-minted runway model admitted on-camera after the audition that she had blocked out her casting call.

“I have no idea [how it went]. I kind of black out when I go in there. I’m in my underwear, this is fun. But I’m happy with it — I think! I hope they’re happy!”

The 20-year-old model can be forgiven for the gaffe, however, as her body of work — which can partially be seen on her Instagram account — has so many redeeming photographs. Bella Hadid has 7.2 million followers who would agree with that assessment.

On Thursday, Bella Hadid used her words on Instagram instead of just her selfie to communicate her excitement over being selected for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The model told her followers how awe-inspiring the opportunity to be a part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was to her.

“There is no better feeling than being confirmed for @victoriassecret fashion show!!!… What a dream come true..I feel so appreciative and excited! Thank you for this opportunity to walk next to some of the most inspiring and incredible women in the world!”

Not only is Bella Hadid working with Victoria’s Secret, but the model is also working with DKNY as the face of the company, according to Vogue. The challenge represents a big one for Bella, as she was not modeling for DKNY in 2015 whatsoever. Hadid explained the following in the article.

“[Last year] I was doing shows, but I wasn’t doing as many shows as I am now, so I think it was really cool to experience and watch DKNY from the front row. It’s a brand that I’ve always known about, so it is really cool… Big steps!”

In addition to becoming the face of DKNY, Bella Hadid also landed a gig with Dior. The makeup company signed the model for their campaign back in May of 2016, according to Bravo.

The Daily Mail reported that the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will take place in Paris this year instead of the usual New York City destination. Generally, Victoria’s Secret announces the site of the fashion show in the spring, but this year’s location was a secret to Bella Hadid and everyone else up until October 24.

In the past 17 years, the show has only been held in two other locations outside of New York City, according to the article. The fashion show was held in London in 2014 and in Cannes, France, in 2000.
