Miranda Lambert Says She’s Not Broken! New Song For Blake Shelton?

Miranda Lambert remained silent for months after her divorce from Blake Shelton, but not many people know that she’s been channeling all her emotions in her new album The Weight of These Wings which is scheduled for release on November 18.

It’s less than a month before her album drops, but fans got an early treat from the 32-year-old singer. Lambert just released her new song “Keeper of the Flame,” which could have described what she had gone through after her divorce from the 40-year-old country superstar.

“I’m bent but I’m not broken / I’m stronger than I feel / I’m made of flesh and bone / Not made of steel,” she sang in the first verse.

According to Hollywood Life, it can’t be easy for Miranda Lambert to see Blake Shelton and his highly publicized relationship with Gwen Stefani. However, she wanted to let everyone know that she’s getting by just fine in her new song. Thankfully, Anderson East came into her life which probably made it easier for her to move on.

“I’ve been burned down to ashes, waiting for a wind / To carry me, start a fire again / Sometimes I’m just a flicker, a candle in your eye / But I swear to God I’ll never let him die,” she sang in another verse.

During an interview with Billboard back in August, Lambert confessed that she’s “nervous as hell” with her new single “Vice” because it will be her first song after her divorce from Shelton. She revealed that she spent the year writing, recording, and trying to live a normal life in preparation for her new album.

“I’ve been pretty silent all this time. And now that I’m coming with a song, it does make me nervous, and I hope that people are respectful of it and understand what I’ve been doing,” she admitted. “But I’ve never hidden anything or tried to be too mysterious. I’m pretty straightforward in my music.”

“With my songwriting, it’s taking a journey with what’s been going on in my everyday life — good, bad, ugly and everything in between,” she explained. “I feel like the right thing to do was just come out with something really honest.”

Apart from “Vice” and “Keeper of the Flame,” there are 11 more songs in each disc. She shared a copy of her double album’s list of songs on Instagram:

All of the pain that Miranda Lambert had gone through during her divorce from Blake Shelton has been replaced by great things happening to her right now. Her music career has taken off – winning ACM’s Female Vocalist of the Year – and her latest track was included in Spotify Editor’s Picks. Billboard partnered with the online music streaming company to list down the soon-to-be-hits.

Miranda’s love life is also blossoming and there are even reports that she’s ready to take her relationship with Anderson to the next level. The Inquisitr previously reported that the Pistol Annies member has gotten closer to her boyfriend over the past months. Despite the failed marriage, she is ready to take another chance with love.

“She wants to get married again and have children soon. That has been an open conversation between her and Anderson. He wants the same,” an insider told E! News.

“Miranda is very happy with Anderson. They have gotten very close. Her friends think this is the guy for her,” their source added.

According to the website, the songstress is completely over her ex-husband and she only wishes him the best. Despite the divorce, she reportedly learned a lot and is happy where it took her now. However, that doesn’t mean they can be friends again. Miranda allegedly isn’t sure if her relationship with Blake Shelton will get back to that level again.
