Brad Pitt’s Family Defends His Parenting Amid Angelina Jolie Divorce Drama

The only thing more shocking to fans than Angelina Jolie’s petition to divorce Brad Pitt are the child abuse allegations and investigation against him. In the wake of the Jolie-Pitt divorce drama and FBI investigation, Pitt’s family is coming to his defense and they say that the War Machine actor is not a bad dad.

According to Radar Online, a cousin has come forward in support of Brad, and she says the Hollywood actor and father of six is an excellent parent.

Roger Hal Hillhouse is Brad Pitt’s cousin and says the A-lister couldn’t possibly have done the things he is being accused of.

Hillhouse told Radar, “I’ll definitely defend him! Brad Pitt is a good father…. He wouldn’t hurt his kids.”

Pitt has been keeping a low profile since Angeline Jolie filed divorce documents back on September 20. He even missed the premiere of Voyage of Time, a documentary to which Brad Pitt lent his famous voice. With all the drama surrounding the Jolie-Pitt divorce, Brad issued a statement regarding his absence at the screening, according to the Daily Mail.

“Terrence’s Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time,” Brad said. “I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”

In the wake of Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing, the actress is asking for full physical custody of all six children. Brad has reportedly only seen five of the six kids since the split and all visits have been supervised by the family therapist. It is unclear if Brad has been able to see Maddox yet. In the aftermath of the altercation with his son that led up to the investigation by the DFPS and the FBI, it has been reported that Maddox wants nothing to do with his adoptive dad.

Despite all the controversy surrounding the Jolie-Pitt divorce and allegations of abuse against Maddox, Brad’s cousin Roger says that his family has been supportive and that Brad Pitt’s parents will not cut the children off even if he and Angelina do end up getting divorced.

“His mother and father, Jane and Bill, are great grandparents to those kids. It’s a good family unit,” Hillhouse told Radar. “We’re all saddened by the fact that the children, Brad and Angelina are having to go through this.”

It was recently revealed that Angelina Jolie was grilled for four hours by FBI investigators regarding what happened aboard the transatlantic flight from France to Los Angeles when the altercation with Maddox Jolie-Pitt occurred. The Inquisitr reported that investigators wanted all the details from when the flight took off to when it landed and everything in between.

Angelina has reportedly been fully cooperative with investigators who are trying to assess whether or not Brad Pitt will be charged with child abuse or assault for the alleged altercation with Maddox aboard that private flight. There have been reports that Pitt may have been drinking aboard the flight, and that may have led to his argument with Maddox.

Brad Pitt has also been cooperating in the wake of the Jolie-Pitt divorce drama. He failed to respond to the divorce filing in time, which could cause him to lose visitation rights if Angelina were to push it. However, reports indicate that Pitt’s motivation to let the deadline pass without action had to do with the welfare of his six children with Angeline Jolie.
