Adele On Brad And Angelina’s Split: ‘I Wish Them Both The Best, But I Don’t Care’

Adele has shocked fans by declaring that she doesn’t care about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. Adele’s remarks came during her most recent New York concert, which is part of Adele Live 2016. The world tour aims to promote 25, the singer’s third studio album.

Many fans were shocked by Adele’s comments about Brad and Angelina’s failed marriage because the “Send My Love” singer had earlier expressed her sadness over the celebrity couple‘s breakup. In fact, she dedicated her recent Madison Square Garden concert to the couple. According to News Australia, Adele had earlier spoken about how shocked she was on learning about the divorce.

“Brangelina have broken up. Because honestly, I’m really, really sad, genuinely. I don’t know them at all… I was shocked when I woke up this morning.”

It appears the popular singer wants the couple to forget the past and move on with their lives without contemplating the things that went wrong in their relationship. News Australia further reports that Adele revealed she no longer worries about unnecessary commotion surrounding the couple’s divorce.

“They’re making out like I was heartbroken, like, ‘Oh my God,’ I don’t care… I wish them both the best, but I don’t care. And, to be honest, I don’t think they really care about what you lot say.”

Adele’s point of view is clearly reminiscent of “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” the second track on 25 that expresses the singer’s happiness over her breakup with her cheating lover. Adele’s recent views on breaking up and the songs featured on her third studio album indicate a clear shift in the “Rolling in the Deep” singer’s attitudes towards romance and heartbreak.

Better known as the Queen of Heartache, Adele has achieved fame by singing some of the most soulful and heart-rending songs, all inspired by her own failed romance. In fact, 21, Adele’s second studio album, consisted of songs that were penned when the singer was recovering from a painful breakup. The songs became so popular that 30 million copies of 21 were sold, and Adele was credited with reviving the music industry, which had slowed down considerably in 2011.

It seems that Adele has matured with time because she’s not only found love again but also become a mother. Adele began her romantic relationship with entrepreneur Simon Konecki in 2011, and the singer gave birth to Angelo James in 2012. Recently, Adele revealed that her priorities in life have changed, and her world now revolves around her son.

The popular singer might not be worrying too much about celebrity divorces, but she’s very sensitive about issues affecting the LGTBQIA+ community. Previously, Adele cried during her Antwerp concert in Belgium while paying tribute to the victims of the deadly shooting at Orlando’s gay nightclub.

It was probably natural for Adele to feel the pain and sorrow associated with the tragic event because her songs have been hugely popular in the gay community. In fact, in 2012, Adele was voted a gay icon by the listeners of Gaydon Radio. Celebrities such as Alan Carr, the English comedian and presenter, and Luke Evans, who have both come out as being gay, are big fans of Adele. According to NewNowNext, Alan Carr revealed he would like Adele to be a bridesmaid when he marries his longtime partner, Paul Drayton.

Wales Online reports that Luke Evans, the Welsh actor, impressed the audience when he sang Adele’s “When We Were Young” while appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show.
