Seattle Seahawks: Bold Predictions For NFL Week 8 Vs. Saints

The Seattle Seahawks are set to face off against the New Orleans Saints on the road in NFL Week 8 action. It is a game that many think could turn into a shootout, even with the Seahawks having one of the top defenses in the entire league.

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFC once again this season. They are coming off of a tie with the Arizona Cardinals last week that moved them to 4-1-1 on the season. Seattle is, without question, capable of winning the conference this season, although they will have some competition from teams like the Green Bay Packers and Cardinals, and the Carolina Panthers could make some noise moving forward as well.

Going up against the electrifying New Orleans offense won’t be easy for Seattle’s defense. Drew Brees is having one of the best seasons of his career and is hoping to lead the Saints to another huge win.

Seattle will have to bring it on both sides of the football. They have a dominant defense that will make things difficult for Brees, but Wilson has to put points on the board. New Orleans has an extremely below average defense, which bodes well for the Seahawks’ chances of putting up big offensive numbers.

All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Seattle Seahawks as they get set to face the New Orleans Saints in NFL Week 8 action?

Russell Wilson Totals 400 Yards, Five Touchdowns

If the Seahawks are going to come out with a win, Russell Wilson needs to have a big game. He will come through in a huge way, totaling 400 yards and five touchdowns through the air and on the ground combined. Wilson has had some rough games this year, but this will not be one of them.

Jimmy Graham Burns His Old Team

Drew Brees came out and said that it would be “weird” playing against his former tight end, Jimmy Graham. Not only will Graham play his former team, but he will also come back and burn them. Due to New Orleans’ porous defense, Graham will put up at least 100 yards receiving and a touchdown or two.

Seattle’s Defense Will Force at Least Three Turnovers

Forcing turnovers against a superstar quarterback like Drew Brees isn’t easy, but the Seahawks’ defense will find a way to force three of them. Brees may not throw three interceptions, but the team as a whole will have three turnovers throughout the course of the game.

Both Teams Combine to Score 70 Points or More

Even though the Seahawks have a very talented defense, the Seahawks and Saints will find a way to combine for 70 or more points this week. Wilson and the Seattle offense may account for more of them, but it should be a shootout. If you’re a fan of big offensive games, this is the game to watch.

The Seattle Seahawks Pull Out a Tough Win on the Road

Seattle is looking to move to 5-1-1 on the season, and they will get the job done this week against the Saints. New Orleans is going to put up a good fight, but the Seahawks will come out with the win. It won’t be a blowout, but Seattle will make the necessary plays down the stretch to win in New Orleans.

Expect to see the Saints put up some numbers on the Seattle defense. Brees is not going to go down without a fight. Pete Carroll knows that this game is important for his team and will have just enough to go home with a tough win.
