Shakira Rocks Baby Bump At Concert

Shakira’s baby bump is getting bigger every day, but it isn’t slowing the singer down.

The “Hips Don’t Lie singer” brought her vocals, her dance moves, and her baby bump up on stage for the closing ceremony of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan.

US Magazine reports that Shakira is expecting her first child with Gerard Pique, an FC Barcelona soccer star.

Before the concert, Shakira wrote on Twitter:

“In a few minutes it will be our baby’s first time on stage and precisely at a football event! Magic Shak.”

After the show, Shakira added:

“I felt awesome on stage! We really enjoyed tonight! Shak #Baku.”

E! Online reports that Shakira’s baby bump wasn’t the only thing that got people talking about the concert. Amnesty International and Sing for Democracy pleaded with the singer (and Rihanna) to cancel her performance in protest of the alleged human rights violations that take place in the country.

Amnesty International wrote in a letter that the organization “believes that the Azerbaijani government should afford all artists, journalists, activists and ordinary citizens the right to express themselves freely without fear of reprisal. We hope that you share our belief.”

The singer has not commented on Amnesty International’s request.
