Tori Spelling Talks 5th Pregnancy, Picking Baby Names

Tori Spelling is pregnant once again, and the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress recently opened up about her fifth pregnancy with husband Dean McDermott. The 43-year-old Spelling and her Canadian-American partner, 49, previously appeared together in Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever, a 2014 reality television series that focused on the family’s renovation of a vacation cabin in McDermott’s birthplace of Ontario, Canada

Tori and Dean already have four children together. Spelling’s kids — eldest son Liam Aaron, daughters Hattie Margaret and Stella Doreen, and Tori’s youngest boy, Finn Davey — are all under 10 years old. Earlier this month, Spelling confirmed to news sources that she and McDermott were expecting baby No. 5. Reportedly, Tori and her husband are keeping both the baby’s name and gender a secret until the anticipated birth.

As a pregnant Tori Spelling shared with E! News, the celebrity couple have yet to pick a baby name for the new child. Tori also recollected her previous four pregnancies to E!, explaining that her earlier childbirths — all four kids were born from 2007 to 2012 — were fairly quick in succession. This time, Spelling plans to take it slow.

“I had them all pretty quickly and all back to back, so they were little. Now they’re four through nine, so they can enjoy this pregnancy and experience it with me. It’s a whole different experience.”

Tori and Dean are also planning on keeping the baby’s gender a surprise until its eventual birth date. As reported by Us Weekly, Tori Spelling’s kids are now old enough to inquire of their soon-to-be sibling’s gender. Spelling told Us that her and Dean has previously switched up the gender-guessing game; they knew Liam and Hattie’s gender before their births, but denied themselves the knowledge for the births of Stella and Finn.

“We have two of each, so we’re blessed. We did find out with the first two, didn’t find out with the second two — huge, amazing surprises. The kids are old enough now they kind of want to find out, you know. We’ve taken a family vote so at some point we might find out but not yet.”

As Tori Spelling’s fans are aware, and as recapped in the previously linked Us Weekly article, Tori’s previous pregnancies have been plagued by various health problems. Though all is currently kosher with Spelling’s current pregnancy, Tori did recall to Us her difficult pregnancy with Finn, which required additional medical checkups.

“My pregnancy with Finn was really difficult and there was a health condition, but the baby and I got checked out.”

Kiss the Bride star Spelling and Chopped: Canada host McDermott have been married since 2006. Spelling previously wed playwright Charlie Shanian, but the couple divorced after only two years. Tori married Dean a mere month after her divorced from Shanian was finalized, and the celebrity couple started their brood soon thereafter.

Tori first came to fame with her coming-of-age role on Beverly Hills, 90210, a show created by her father. She then established herself as a prominent movie actress in various late-’90s/early-aughts teen and independent films such as Scream 2, Trick, Scary Movie 2, Cthulhu, and Izzie’s Way Home. Tori’s most recent major role was alongside Pineapple Express actor James Franco in the 2016 Lifetime television movie, Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?
