Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Latest News: Movies, Divorce, Anorexia, And FBI And DCFS Child Abuse Investigation Update

There are new updates in the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce case. According to latest news reports, the couple is still planning on divorcing and Pitt remains under investigation for possible child abuse. It also appears that Jolie is taking a step back from Hollywood while she sorts out her personal situation. She has Maleficent 2 in the works, but there is no definite time schedule yet. Pitt, on the other hand, has three movies in the works. Allied is set for release on Nov. 23, 2016; he has finished filming War Machine in which he stars as the film’s lead General Stanley McChrystal; and it was also announced that Pitt is revising his role as Gerry Lane in World War Z 2. The movie has a scheduled released date of June 9, 2017.

In the video below, Entertainment Tonight reports that Angelina Jolie has put her commitment to the film First They Killed My Father on hold while she works on her family issues. The movie is a Netflix original based upon the memoir written by Loung Ung about her personal experience in Cambodia during the Pol Pot regime.

Netflix released a statement in July of 2015, about Jolie’s involvement with the film and included her comments about the project.

“I was deeply affected by Loung’s book. It deepened forever my understanding of how children experience war and are affected by the emotional memory of it. And it helped me draw closer still to the people of Cambodia, my son’s homeland. It is a dream come true to be able to adapt this book for the screen, and I’m honored to work alongside Loung and filmmaker Rithy Panh.”

In the video below, Jolie spoke about working with her son, Maddox, who was born in Cambodia and participated in the film. Maddox is also at the heart of a current investigation regarding an alleged incident with Brad Pitt. At this point, it is unclear when First They Killed My Father will be available on Netflix.

Also unknown is how the public will react to Brad Pitt’s new movie, Allied. When news of Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s divorce drama surfaced, rumors circulated that Pitt had been romantically involved with his co-star, Marion Cotillard. In September, Page Six reported that Angelina Jolie had been dumped for Marion Cotillard. The report stated that Jolie had hired a private investigator and caught the two behaving inappropriately. Cotillard responded to the rumors and allegations and denied any wrongdoing or affair. Marion Cotillard issued a statement on her personal Instagram account shutting down the rumors, as reported by the Guardian.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in September, and listed the date of separation as Sept. 15. According to the latest news reports from Entertainment Tonight (ET), Brad Pitt has yet to respond to the divorce papers. ET quotes a source as saying that Pitt hasn’t responded to the divorce petition because he wants to handle the matter privately and not publicly. The report also states that Pitt wants joint custody of the couple’s six children, as reported by Inquisitr.

Handling the divorce privately may indicate coming to terms of custody, marital distribution, and finances without the need for court or a trial. Should Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt work out their divorce agreement privately, the public may never know the full details of their arrangement or settlement. The couple is reportedly working with the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) while an alleged incident of child abuse is investigated.

According to reports by TMZ, the investigation into abuse has expanded; however, what is unknown is the status of the case, whether abuse has been proved and if Brad Pitt is in danger of losing custody of his children. Neither Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie have come forward to address the rumors and speculation and have yet to verify or deny publicly whether there is an abuse investigation, or if the unknown sources quoted in the media are accurately portraying the facts.

Another rumor that has enveloped around Angelina Jolie for several years is that she is anorexic. Public speculation regarding Jolie’s weight first surfaced after the Oscar-winning actress lost her mother to cancer. During Jolie’s grieving period, she displayed a smaller frame when in public, and rumors circulated that she was depressed and not eating. Crushable discussed Jolie’s weight and the possibility of her being anorexic in 2007 after her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away.

A Topix forum exists where people weigh in on the possibility of Jolie’s health and possible anorexia diagnosis. As latest news of Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s divorce continues to surface, so does continued speculation of Angelina being anorexic. Photos have circulated for years proposing to prove that Angelina Jolie is anorexic. Many of these unflattering photos shared on social media sites like Twitter are clearly photoshopped, edited, and false.

Though Angelina Jolie is the subject of many reports claiming she’s anorexic, Gossip Cop took into question the site that is currently spreading the latest report that she’s starving herself over the loss of Brad Pitt. According to Gossip Cop, the latest rumor comes from Celeb Dirty Laundry and suggests Angelina is starving herself for pity. Not only does Gossip Cop take issue with the report and state it is a rumor, the site calls it a flat-out lie. Gossip Cop stated the following.

“Angelina Jolie is not starving herself for ‘pity’ or ‘attention,’ despite a made-up story from a site with little credibility. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this fabrication. We’re told it’s a lie.”

Though Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt haven’t made many public appearances since news of the divorce went public, Angelina was photographed recently in California and she didn’t look as if she had lost drastic amounts of weight.

Us Weekly reported that Angelina Jolie met with FBI investigators for four hours regarding an alleged altercation between Brad Pitt and his son, Maddox, that allegedly transpired in federal air space. Us Weekly stated the FBI met with Jolie and additional children, and not just Maddox. The report quoted an unidentified source.

“The agents wanted a breakdown of everything that happened from when the plane took off to when it landed. They’re looking into charges of assault.”
