New Tell-All Book Reveals Bill And Hillary Clinton Spent An Odd Weekend With Carly Simon And Her Gay Husband

A new tell-all book reveals the Clintons, Carly Simon, and her gay husband spent some odd nights together at Camp David. Hillary and Bill Clinton spent a weekend secretly holed up with Carly Simon and her ex-husband James Hart, who wrote the forthcoming memoir, while awaiting the Senate’s final vote on the Monica Lewinsky affair.

Radar Online obtained an excerpt from James Hart’s tell-all memoir, Lucky Jim.

“One of the strange highlights of 1999 was spending the weekend of the Senate vote on [Clinton’s] impeachment at Camp David with Bill and Hillary. Carly thought that they should not spend this weekend alone, that they should have friends around them.”

Hart described how he arrived with Carly Simon at the presidential retreat shortly before the Senate voted against the impeachment of Bill Clinton. The excerpt details how Hart was shocked at Bill and Hillary Clinton’s lightheartedness regarding Bill’s sexual antics.

“The most amazing part of the weekend was the equanimity of Bill and Hillary. They actually translated the impeachment as a final victory.”

Hart described how Bill was almost joyous when all was said and done.

“[Bill] began to talk about how it was finally over, that the b*****ds couldn’t do anything to him anymore. He said that they had been after him for thirty years and now it was over.”

The next evening at Camp David, Carly Simon and James Hart joined Bill and Hillary Clinton as they gathered to watch a new movie that had just come out, Happy, Texas.

Hart recalled thinking that the movie had been a strange choice.

“It seemed an odd choice given what President Clinton had just escaped from and survived.”

The plot centered around two escaped convicts who are mistaken for a gay couple in charge of a Texas beauty pageant.

The Clintons’ even had them join in a religious service before they left.

“We finished our stay with a moving chapel service on Sunday morning. I wasn’t sure if [Hillary and Bill] thought they had the help of God, but they seemed to be able to reconstruct their marriage in the most difficult of circumstances. Carly and I found it inspirational.”

It was about three years after their weekend at Camp David with the Clintons that Hart realized there were issues in his own marriage. He and Carly had drifted apart, and he had come to realize that he was gay.

“…our issues were nothing in comparison [to the Clintons’]”

His ex-wife, Carly Simon, was also known for her infamous sexual conquests, including Jack Nicholson, Kris Kristofferson, Mick Jagger, and Warren Beatty.

Simon had previously said that Warren Beatty inspired her angriest lines in her 1972 hit song, “You’re So Vain.”

Hart has said that he has been working on this memoir his whole life. The story of his and Carly’s odd weekend with the Clintons at Camp David is a small part of Hart’s long life story, but it will give people yet another peak into the mysterious life of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“Lucky Jim is Jim Hart’s memoir, the story of how he survived a violent childhood home, found incredible words inside him, created a love that was both so right and so wrong, and finally found the strength to be his true self.”

Lucky Jim is available on Amazon in April of 2017.
