Musician Dave Navarro To Guest Star On ‘Sons Of Anarchy’

The FX hit Sons of Anarchy is lining up the celebrity cameos for season 5, the latest of which has been confirmed to be Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Sons of Anarchy will be adding the tattooed musician to their roster of celebrity cameos, which included Ashley Tisdale in a two-episode arc, Walton Goggins last week in a hilarious turn as a transgender call girl, and the promise of a future appearance by comedian and Community cast member Joel McHale.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Navarro will guest star in the final two episodes of this season as a member of the Biz Lats gang who has close ties to Nero Padilla (played with genuine personality by Jimmy Smits). Additionally, Navarro’s band Jane’s Addiction landed a gig from Sons of Anarchy as well. They will provide a cover version of “Sympathy for the Devil” for the season 5 finale (we all know how Kurt Sutter loves his musical montage chapter-closers).

As previously mentioned, creator Kurt Sutter has been pulling out all the stops with celebrity cameos this season. Ashley Tisdale was first up in a bit role as a call girl whose life is placed in jeopardy by the Sons. Unfortunately for Tisdale, we didn’t even really realize that it was her until well after she was K.O.’d by Gemma. The Shield alumnus Walton Goggins made his own unusual turn as the transgender escort in last week’s episode, playing a crucial role in the Sons’ latest blackmail plot. Up next is Joel McHale in a multi-episode arc as a con man, and we can only hope to God that the Talk Soup host makes it out of Charming alive.

Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10pm on FX, and, sadly, we’ll have to wait a few months before we see Dave Navarro’s guest spot. Stay tuned!
