Tinsley Mortimer Joins ‘RHONY’ As Newbie Housewife
Tinsley Mortimer is the newest name to be associated with The Real Housewives of New York. Taping for the new season began just a few days ago, and all of the ladies are ready to show the world what they have been up to. An official announcement of cast members has not yet made its way to social media, but it was confirmed that Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps were recently filming. With the departure of Jules Wainstein, fans knew another new face would be joining the cast. Mortimer isn’t new to reality television, but it has been several years since she was spotted on the small screen.
Bravo chose Tinsley Mortimer to join the Real Housewives of New York because she will likely bring the drama. Rumors have circulated that she is in a domestic violence situation, but nothing has been confirmed. Once someone opens themselves up to reality television the bizarre stories that come out have to be taken with a grain of salt. According to All About the Tea, Tinsley Mortimer is dating Nico Fanjul. The couple has been on and off for quite some time, with explosive arguments when they split up. In fact, Mortimer made headlines last spring for being arrested on Fanjul’s property in Florida. He got her on trespassing charges.
There is some speculation that Tinsley Mortimer will bring the drama, and this could cause issues with the rest of the cast. She is dubbed as a high-profile socialite from Manhattan. This screams Sonja Morgan, especially with the rich men both women date. In fact, Mortimer was once involved with a prince. It happened shortly after she went through a highly publicized divorce from an oil big shot. She taped the reality show High Society for one season before it was canceled in 2010.
It will be interesting to see how Tinsley Mortimer will fit in with the other girls, especially Bethenny Frankel. Last season, she was best friends with Carole Radziwill, and it looks like that duo will still be together and filming this season. LuAnn de Lesseps will be walking down the aisle this season and it may possibly be filmed for The Real Housewives of New York. Dorinda Medley is in the wedding party and Sonja Morgan will be invited to the wedding. It appears that is all for the cast, but there is a slight possibility that Mortimer could be invited.
Her connection to The Real Housewives of New York is currently unclear. Speculation is that Tinsley Mortimer is linked to Sonja Morgan but her connection could also be LuAnn de Lesseps. With Jules Wainstein out, the ladies will definitely be checking Mortimer out. With all of the rumors surrounding her relationship and life, there will be plenty for the women to dig up on her. Mortimer appears to be ready to handle this pack of wolves and the anticipation of meeting the newbie housewife is killing fans. Will she be more like Bethenny Frankel or Sonja Morgan?
A lot has gone down since the reunion and Tinsley Mortimer is walking into a war zone. It was confirmed that Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan are not on speaking terms. In fact, when Morgan appeared on Watch What Happens Live, she insinuated that Medley is into drugs. Of course, there has been no proof, but it has been speculated by fans for quite some time. Mortimer will likely hear all of this when she begins filming with the ladies, especially when in a group. There is no premiere date for The Real Housewives of New York yet, but it has been confirmed that Tinsley Mortimer was picked up for the empty spot Jules Wainstein left behind.
