Tamra Judge Says Her Case With Sidney Is Different: Here’s Why She Can Talk About ‘RHOC’ Kids

Tamra Judge was expecting the trip to Ireland to be a fun and memorable one, as the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies packed their bags and traveled to Ireland. But sadly, it didn’t take long for new housewife Kelly Dodd to say something that completely infuriated Judge. During a shopping trip, Kelly made the comment, “no wonder her daughter doesn’t talk to her,” referring to Tamra Judge’s custody battle with her daughter Sidney. It has been a sensitive issue that she just recently brought up, even though it had been in the media for some time. Tamra was furious when she found out that the comment had been made and she lost her cool completely.

According to a new Bravo report, Tamra Judge is now revealing why she was so upset with the comment that Kelly made during their trip to Ireland. The ladies have made rules about not bringing up their children on The Real Housewives of Orange County and some of the ladies clearly can’t keep that promise. Even though Judge did explain the custody issue to the world on a previous reunion show for The Real Housewives of Orange County, she doesn’t want the ladies to talk about it.

When Tamra Judge stopped by Watch What Happens Live this week, a caller asked her why it was alright for her to talk about other people’s children when Kelly couldn’t make a comment about her daughter. As it turns out, Judge thinks that her situation is much different and people should be sensitive to her and her daughter. In the same breath, she denies having talked about other people’s children on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I apologize if I ever spoke about anybody’s kids,” Tamra Judge reveals to the caller, clearly ignoring all the times she has talked about her co-stars’ children, adding, “I mean, my situation is a very sensitive one. It’s about parental alienation. If you’ve ever witnessed it or been a victim of it, you would know. It’s a bad thing.”

Of course, it is a heartbreaking situation, especially since Tamra Judge feels that her daughter may have been influenced by her father’s words. It’s no secret that Simon Barney didn’t have nice words about his ex-wife when they got divorced and the children were not allowed to film The Real Housewives of Orange County. Fans only see Judge as a business person and a wife on the show, but her children still play a large part of her life. She opened up about her feelings over the summer last year after her daughter wrote a lengthy Facebook post about her mother.

“It’s hard for me to talk about. It breaks my heart,” Tamra Judge has previously revealed to The Daily Dish about her situation, adding, “It was something I really wanted to keep off the show, and it’s so big in my life that it’s just too hard. And I feel like at this point if I can help others go through it, because divorce and when kids separate and pick sides, it’s not uncommon. But people don’t want to talk about it because they feel like, oh they’re a failure.”

Some fans don’t want to give her any special treatment despite being alienated by her daughter, simply because of the way she has acted towards other people on the show and their respective children.
