The Brad Pitt Child Abuse Investigation Has Been Extended After New Allegations Surface [Report]
The investigation into claims of Brad Pitt being abusive towards his children has reportedly been extended.
Following Brad Pitt’s wife’s divorce filing last month, news hit the web claiming the 52-year-old actor had engaged in a physical altercation with his oldest son, 15-year-old, Maddox, who was adopted from Cambodia years ago, while en route to Los Angeles from France.
While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, 41, ultimately embarked on a temporary custody agreement which gave her full custody of their six kids, Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and Vivienne and Knox, 8, the agreement was expected to end at some point. Now, however, the future of Brad Pitt’s custody battle is up in the air.
On October 25, In Touch Weekly revealed to readers that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services had extended their investigation into Brad Pitt’s parenting after the case was supposed to be closed by the end of this month. According to the report, the organization chose to do so after being presented with new accusations against Pitt.

During the investigation thus far, Brad Pitt has undergone two voluntary drug tests and both of those tests were negative. Meanwhile, Jolie and the kids underwent interviews and were kept away from their father aside from the little visitation he received.
“The investigation was not closed on schedule for a reason. The DCFS investigation is now going to continue for at least several more weeks,” the source explained.
As for what that reason was, it is being reported that Brad Pitt has harmed some of his children by verbally abusing them on multiple occasions.
“Now DCFS is interviewing many people to determine if they are witnesses to any improper behavior by [Brad Pitt] as well as searching for others who have knowledge of his actions. That includes nannies, household staff members and more,” another insider explained to the magazine.
“The fact that the investigation was extended is an indication of how serious this is,” a second insider added, revealing Jolie and the kids will soon be interviewed by the Department of Children and Family Services yet again.
The investigation into Brad Pitt’s behavior was launched in September after he was accused of taking physical action against Maddox at a Minnesota airport, where his and Jolie’s plane briefly stopped. The reported plane incident is also believed to have led to Jolie’s divorce filing just four days later.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began their relationship while filming 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Although Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, the couple hit it off as they filmed and once Aniston filed for divorce, they wasted no time going public with their romance. Then, just one year later, Jolie gave birth to their first biological child, daughter Shiloh. In addition to adopting Maddox, Pax and Zahara, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also welcomed their twins naturally.
Although Brad Pitt’s whereabouts have not been confirmed in the weeks since Jolie filed for divorce, it is assumed that the actor is currently staying at the Los Feliz home he used to share with Jolie while she and the kids remain in Malibu, where they have been since her filing.
On Monday, X17 Online shared photos of the home where Brad Pitt’s estranged wife and kids are believed to be living and revealed the beachfront property was owned by Ron Meyer, the vice chairman of NBCUniversal.
