Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Have Not Split, Despite Rumors
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx may have the most secretive and mysterious relationship in Hollywood, especially when one realizes that neither Holmes nor Foxx have never confirmed that there is anything between them. Sure, it’s common knowledge that Katie has been friends with Jamie, even before her split from ex-husband Tom Cruise, but anything else has always been speculation. That was about to change with alleged wedding plans in full swing, but reports of trouble between Katie and Foxx over a highly publicized wedding seems to have brought everything to an abrupt halt. Now, the couple’s fans are wondering if this means an end to the romance altogether. Sources close to Holmes and Foxx say no.
Are Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Finally Going Public?
Since getting together shortly after Holmes’ divorce from Tom Cruise, both Katie and Jamie have gone to great lengths in keeping their romance secret, but, as Headlines and Global News reports, that was about to change with the wedding Katie was planning. Sources close to Jamie Foxx have revealed that the couple has had a difference of opinion about going public with their relationship and impending wedding, adding that the conflict created a divide between Holmes and Foxx.
One reason for the secrecy has had more to do with Holmes than with Foxx. In order to obtain a quick divorce from Tom Cruise and maintain custody of Suri Cruise, it has been revealed that Katie had to agree to certain stipulations, regarding her personal life and public image. To that effect, Holmes was prohibited from publicly dating and from introducing Suri to any potential father figures to take Cruise’s place.
That agreement expires in 2017, leaving Katie free to plan a public wedding, but it now has been reported that Foxx is against going public. Jamie has garnered a specific public image, and sources say the actor is concerned the image would be tainted by confirmation of a marriage. The differing of opinion about going public with their relationship has led to rumors that Holmes and Foxx are no more.
Apparently, nothing could be further from the truth.
Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Are Still Going Strong
In spite of the rumors and earlier reports, Us Weekly reveals that Foxx and Holmes have not ended their three-year romance. In fact, the couple is still as in love as ever, no matter what the online community may be theorizing.
“They are for sure still together,” one source close to the couple revealed.
While Katie and Jamie have successfully kept their love affair out of the public eye for most of the past three years, a slip up from Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan indicated that rumors about the romance are true.
“He is very happy with her,” Jordan said, before later retracting that remark and saying she had “misspoke” about the nature of their relationship.
While Foxx and Holmes continue to maintain a high level of secrecy regarding their relationship, they have recently been seen together at public events. During a recent show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Jamie Foxx shared the stage with Barbara Streisand, while Holmes supported her boyfriend from a seat backstage.
As 2017 nears and Katie Holmes finds herself freed from the stipulations of the divorce from Tom Cruise, there may be greater transparency with Holmes’ life and romance with Jamie Foxx. While both are still private people and value their time away from the paparazzi and public eye, coming together as a family with Katie’s 10-year-old daughter, Suri, and Foxx’s two daughters, Corinne, 22, and Annalise, 7, may prove too difficult to hide from fans.
