Brad Pitt’s First Chanel No. 5 Ad Released [Video]

Brad Pitt’s first Chanel No. 5 Ad is being met with mixed reviews.

People seem to think that the new ad is either extremely sexy or extremely funny.

The leading man is filmed in black and white as a series of shadows run across his face. In his deep, sexy voice he says:

“It’s not a journey. Every journey ends but we go on. The world turns but we turn with it. Plans disappear, but we take over.”

According to the Huffington Post, Brad Pitt is the first male actor to sell the perfume. Chanel’s previous spokespeople include Nicole Kidman, Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Hutton.

The new ad has drawn mixed reactions. People Magazine says that Pitt “smolders” in the new “thoughtfully seductive” ad while the Washington Post writes that Pitt’s good looks don’t change the fact that the ad makes no sense.

The Post writes: (So this is) what it looks like when Pitt tries really hard to make pretentious sentences sound meaningful while wearing a casual button-down shirt.”
