Will Selena Gomez Quit Rehab Before Her Program Is Complete? ‘Everyone Is Worried’

Selena Gomez is reportedly miserable in rehab and considering leaving her chosen facility in Tennessee before completing her treatment program.

According to a new report, those close to Selena Gomez have grown concerned about the 24-year-old singer, who first announced her struggles with depression, panic attacks and anxiety in a statement to People Magazine in August.

Selena Gomez “feels like hell” at the Brookhaven Retreat, a source told In Touch Weekly on October 24. “She absolutely hates it there.”

“Everyone is worried,” the source added. “Everyone’s just hoping [Selena Gomez] gets better.”

Selena Gomez performed her last “Revival World Tour” show in August and weeks later, after a highly publicized feud with Justin Bieber over a post shared in regard to his then-girlfriend Sofia Richie, she announced she was in need of some “time off” due to struggles with her mental health.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez told People Magazine in a statement on August 30. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she continued.

Selena Gomez’s tour was expected to continue into December when she was scheduled to play a series of shows in Mexico. Now, however, it is unclear whether or not Selena Gomez will ever return to her tour and reschedule the shows she missed.

Weeks after her statement was released, Us Weekly confirmed Selena Gomez had checked into a rehab facility in Tennessee that was described as “private and quiet” but also “super intense.”

“[Selena Gomez] is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source close to the singer told the magazine. “She can go to a very dark place.”

In her statement, Selena Gomez claimed her struggles with anxiety, depression and panic attacks were the result of her lupus diagnosis, but several rumors have claimed the singer may have been prompted to seek treatment due to her feud with Bieber or because she is secretly suffering from alcohol or drug addiction. That said, a People Magazine source who spoke to the outlet at the time of Selena Gomez’s statement insisted her decision to take a career hiatus was not related to struggles with alcohol. Instead, the source explained, Selena Gomez simply hadn’t been feeling like herself for months.

Since entering treatment several weeks ago, Selena Gomez has been spotted numerous times outside of the facility. As revealed by Us Weekly, Selena Gomez enjoyed a dinner date with her mom and stepfather at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Alcoa, Tennessee, on October 8. One day later, Selena Gomez took some time off for her grandparents and enjoyed a breakfast at another restaurant.

While visiting the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, Selena Gomez posed with several fans and staff members.
