Indianapolis Colts Vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Bold Predictions For NFL Week 8

The Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off in NFL Week 8 action. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot in the AFC, although at this point in time the Chiefs have a better shot.

Andrew Luck and the Colts are coming off of a big 34-26 victory over the Tennessee Titans last week. It was a big win, although Indianapolis still didn’t win in convincing fashion. In fact, it took a big mistake late in the game from Titans’ quarterback Marcus Mariota to help seal the win for the Colts.

Andy Reid and the Chiefs, on the other hand, are fresh off of a 27-21 win over the New Orleans Saints. It was a tough win against one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Kansas City is sitting at 4-3 on the season thus far and look to be a serious playoff contender if they continue playing like they have so far.

Needless to say, this game has playoff implications on the line for both teams. Chuck Pagano and the Colts cannot afford to fall to 3-5 on the season with a loss. Kansas City is still fighting in the AFC West division and losing to a struggling Colts’ football team would be a rough loss.

All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Chiefs vs. Colts game this week?

Andrew Luck Throws for 350 Yards, Four Touchdowns

Despite the poor offensive line, Andrew Luck has found ways to put up big numbers this season. That will continue this week against the Chiefs’ defense. Luck will throw for at least 350 yards and four touchdowns in the game, which will give his team a great opportunity to pick up a win.

Spencer Ware Will Rush for 120 Yards, Two Touchdowns

Kansas City has been very happy with the production that they have received from running back Spencer Ware. He has taken the No. 1 running back duties over and has had great success so far. Ware will continue his impressive play this week against a weak Colts’ defense and will rush for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

T.Y. Hilton Will Put Up Another 130 Yards, Two Touchdowns

Coming into the 2016 season, a lot of fans and analysts underrated Colts’ wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. He is one of the best receivers in the NFL and has been proving that all season long. Hilton will once again come through with a big performance and will rack up 130 receiving yards to go along with two touchdowns in the game.

Kansas City Will Sack Andrew Luck at Least Five Times

Ryan Grigson didn’t do his job this past offseason to help protect Andrew Luck. That has shown all season long and will continue to show this week. Kansas City’s defense will sack Luck at least five times throughout the course of the game.

Indianapolis Will Come Through with a Huge Victory

While the Chiefs may be viewed as the favorites to win this game by most, the Colts are capable of putting up points in bunches. Andrew Luck will get that done for his team this week and Indianapolis will pull out a big win to improve to 4-4 on the season. Kansas City will drop to 4-4, and this game will further complicate the AFC playoff picture.

Expect to see these two teams battle to the wire, but the Colts will simply outscore the Chiefs. It should be a very good game and one that will do the job of entertaining both fan bases.
