Selena Gomez ‘Feels Like Hell’ In Rehab, Will Dating Ed Sheeran Ease ‘Horrific Nightmares’?
Selena Gomez seemed to be soaring with success this year, with acclaim for her music and fans flocking to attend her “Revival Tour” concerts. But behind the scenes, Gomez reportedly was suffering, eventually canceling her tour and sharing that anxiety and depression stemming from lupus were the reason. Now a new report is revealing what has happened since her tour cancellation.

Since checking into rehab to get help for anxiety and depression, Gomez has had problems getting used to the new environment, according to In Touch, which cited an insider describing how the 24-year-old feels.
“Selena keeps saying she feels like hell.”
In addition, Gomez is suffering from “horrific nightmares” during her stay at the treatment center, according to the source. Several weeks ago, Selena called her family as well as friends, added the source, who shared that she “told them she felt trapped.”
As for the cause of what In Touch describes as Gomez’s “downward spiral,” the publication alleges that it occurred “after months of excessive drinking and partying.” She reportedly is staying at the Brookhaven Retreat in Seymour, Tennessee.

Hollywood Life reported that Selena has threatened to exit rehab, causing concern for her mother Mandy Teefey.
Gomez’s mother allegedly is considering making a move to take over her daughter’s finances and life choices, according to a source cited by Hollywood Life.
“[Selena’s mother has] been reaching out to find out what it would take to get a conservatorship for Selena. She believes that a mental breakdown is possible.”
In addition, Hollywood Life revealed that if Mandy does take this step, she would control Gomez’s finances and life decisions. It is reportedly a parallel of what occurred when Britney Spears was in a psychiatric ward in 2008, which resulted in a court order for her father James to become her custodian. That conservatorship remains in effect.
However, Gossip Cop investigated the story about Selena’s mother, and reported that a source close to Gomez denied the allegation that her mom is considering a conservatorship. The story alleging that there is a potential for a conservatorship is “not true,” according to Gossip Cop.
There may be a light at the end of the tunnel for Selena, however, with an intriguing rumor circulating that Gomez is dating Ed Sheeran, according to Enstarz.
Ed has been close friends for years with Gomez’s close friend Taylor Swift. But now Sheeran has reportedly gone from being in the “friend of a friend” category to the next level, with claims that Selena and Ed are dating. Sheeran even allegedly visited Gomez in rehab.
In addition, Selena and Ed were seen spending time together at the Nice Guy restaurant in Hollywood prior to her stay in rehab, according to SugarScape, which cited a source hinting that Sheeran and Gomez might be teaming up to create music based on Taylor’s suggestion.
“It was Taylor that suggested the pair team up.”
The insider also revealed that because Swift enjoyed such success with Ed for one of her own albums, she feels Selena would be Sheeran’s ideal songwriting partner.
“Taylor will always be thankful to Ed for helping her hone her talents, and knows how talented he is to be able to help Selena out too,” explained the source.
At this point, it has not been confirmed that Selena and Ed are dating, but what is clear is just how close Taylor has become to both Gomez and Sheeran.
Swift gushed about both Selena and Ed when she celebrated their birthdays this year on Instagram. When Sheeran turned 25, Swift elaborated on just how close they have become since one of their first meetings, noted People.
“I don’t think he ever knew how inspired I was by his drive and passion to constantly create new art,” gushed Taylor. “But it’s his 25th birthday today, so I’m saying it now. You deserve everything you have, and everything you will continue to achieve, Ed.”
In the same way, Swift turned to Instagram to cheer for her best friend when Gomez turned 24. Taylor had taken a break from social media following her drama with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. But when it was time to celebrate her buddy’s 24th birthday, Swift resurfaced, pointed out ET.
