World Series Odds 2016: Odds To Win Series, MVP, TV Schedule, & Prop Bets Including Steve Bartman

The World Series odds 2016 version are out, and to say this matchup is going to be electric is an understatement. How can it not be? On one side, you have the Chicago Cubs, the lovable losers of the National League for decades. On the other side, you have the same in the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe have not won a title since 1948, while the Cubs haven’t been World Champions since 1908. Obviously, one of these teams is going to be partying like it’s, well, prohibition times!

World Series odds are all the rage at the moment, and Las Vegas sports books may be taking in a record amount of bets for this year’s fall classic.

When you have two teams battling it out like the Cubs and Indians, both of which have a big fan base nationally and haven’t won a championship in decades, people like to get in on the action.

According to CBS Sports, the Cubs are the favorites to win this series and claim their first championship in 108 years. The series price on Chicago is listed at -185, while the comeback price on the Indians is set at +155.

That price shouldn’t surprise anyone. After all, the Cubs have been listed as the overwhelming favorite to win the 2016 World Series since the 2015 World Series concluded. Talk about pressure. This entire season the Chicago Cubs knew they had the proverbial bullseye on their back. So far they have delivered with flying colors.

However, if they don’t complete the task by winning the World Series, unfortunately (and possibly unfairly) their season will be considered a failure by many.

So what kind of crazy prop bets can you wager on during the 2016 World Series? In some casinos, it is just the basic lines on who will win, over/under totals, etc. However, there are a few far out prop bets that at the very least will have fans thinking – or shaking their heads.

Of course, since the Cubs are in the 2016 World Series, once again the “Steve Bartman play” will be resurrected by the media. Nobody in the entire country wants the Cubs to win more than Bartman, so this whole foul ball thing will finally be laid to rest.

If the Cubbies lose the Series this year, they won’t be able to pin it on Bartman, however, you may be able to cash in on various prop bets that involve how many times the announcers try to dig up the past. Yes, “Bartman” prop bets are out there.

As for World Series MVP odds, three of the top four favorites are pitchers, and two of them are on the Chicago Cubs. Kris Bryant is the overall favorite to win the 2016 World Series MVP at +700, or 7/1. Bryant is followed by teammates Jon Lester (+750) and Jake Arrieta (+800). Sitting at number four is Cleveland fire-baller Andrew Miller at +850.
