Miley Cyrus Won’t Quit ‘The Voice’ Due To Adam Levine Feud, But Has She Been Replaced By Gwen Stefani?

Miley Cyrus may not be quitting The Voice because of her alleged behind-the-scenes feud with Adam Levine, but she’s not returning to the show for Season 12.

Following Miley Cyrus’ debut season of the NBC singing competition series, Season 11, it has been confirmed that Gwen Stefani will return to her role as a coach when the show returns to the network next spring for Season 12. That said, Miley Cyrus isn’t completely done with the series and has already announced her Season 13 return.

On October 24, Movie News Guide claimed Miley Cyrus had been replaced on The Voice by Stefani, who will be making a comeback after spending a couple of seasons away from the show. The outlet also revealed that Miley Cyrus had been tied to controversy since joining the show due to her allegedly ongoing tension with longtime cast member Adam Levine.

While Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine never confirmed they were at odds, rumors continued to swirl in the months after her role on the show was confirmed this past fall. At the time, an insider told Radar Online that the two cast members were at war behind the scenes due to Miley Cyrus’ annoying behavior and loud-mouth attitude.

The outlet went on to claim that Shelton was also not a fan of Cyrus due to the fact that Cyrus was allegedly brought to the show by Christina Aguilera as a replacement for Shelton’s girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. Prior to Miley Cyrus’ addition to the show, Aguilera and Stefani had been alternating seasons as coach, but ahead of Season 11, it was noted that neither star would be available to film, and Cyrus and Alicia Keys were brought on board for the first two-women-two-men panel of the show.

Shelton is also a close friend of Adam Levine, so when it comes to getting along with Miley Cyrus, it is quite possible that they have similar views on the often controversial singer.

Following reports of a feud between Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine, an OK! Magazine insider suggested Cyrus was considering quitting the show after being left in tears frequently by her co-stars.

Miley Cyrus has “been in tears” during filming because Levine constantly picks on her, and he even recruited Blake Shelton to “gang up” on Cyrus, the insider explained at the end of last month.

Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine have allegedly been “at each others’ throats” since they began filming The Voice Season 11, mostly due to Levine not wanting anything to do with the singer.

“Adam and Miley were non-stop bickering during their last taping together,” an insider said. “He nitpicks almost every single thing she says.”

Miley Cyrus has even gone as far as to threaten to quit The Voice because things between her and her co-stars have gotten “so bad,” the source said at the time. However, as fans recently learned, Miley Cyrus is not quitting the show at all. In fact, she will be returning to filming next year and reprising her role as coach after Stefani’s highly anticipated return.

As for Christina Aguilera, it has not yet been determined whether or not she will return to the show in either of the upcoming seasons, and the same goes for the past male judges, including Usher and Pharrell Williams.
