Sworn Enemies, Taylor Swift And Katy Perry At Drake’s Birthday, How Did It Go?

Drake celebrated his birthday Monday and his guests included sworn enemies, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Hollywood Life is reporting.

The “Hotline Bling” singer, who was celebrating his 30th birthday at Delilah in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, attracted a list of A-listers including the feuding superstars and John Mayer, who dated both women.

Taylor Swift, whose only show in 2016 was the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, appeared in a black bandeau top along with a matching high-waist skirt with a high-thigh leg slit. She wore her hair in cascading eaves and had a blazer dropped across her shoulders. The 26-year-old singer was flanked by her girl squad, including the Haim sisters and Karlie Kloss.

Taylor Swift had infamously sang “Bad Blood” directed at the 32-year-old singer and “Dear John” at Mayer, 39 who she dated. Other guests included Shay Mitchell, Jamie Foxx, French Montana and Zoe Kravitz, which made it easy for the controversial trio to avoid each other. According to a source, Katy Perry and John Mayer exchanged a few words, but the conversation did not last long.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous Carbone menu laced with Bass Oreganata, Spicy Rigatoni, Veal Parmesan, and Chicken Massimo as their main course, Octopus Pizzaiolo, Caesar alla ZZ, and mixed antipasti for their appetizers and rainbow cookies and a blackout cake for dessert.

The “One Dance” singer’s spectacular cake really caught the eye. It featured pictures of Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, on the top tier and delectable baby pictures of the rapper on the bottom tier. Drake appreciated all the people who turned up for his gig.

“It really means a lot to me, everybody being here. The support that you give, night in and night out for the team that’s with me every day.”

There was no sign of Rihanna at Drake’s 30th birthday party. According to ET Online reports, the two superstars, who have teased fans with a covert relationship for years, split in less than a month after officially declaring their love after the MTV Video Music Awards in August. A source revealed their busy schedules was the reason why the relationship ended prematurely.

“Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way…They will always be close. If they end up together, it could happen, but not now.”

Drake and Rihanna officially became an item when Drake presented the “Umbrella” singer with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and professed how much he loved her.

“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her, even though she’s younger than me. She’s a living, breathing legend in our industry.”

Subsequently the two were seen hanging out together, kissing and cuddling during Drake’s tour dates. The couple even got the same camouflage shark tattoos. At the 2016 American Music Award nominations, Drake broke the record of the most nods in a single year with 13. Rihanna was the second highest with seven nominations.

Taylor, who made $80 million in the last 12 months, penned “Bad Blood” to talk about her rivalry with Katy Perry, who earned $135 million in the last 12 months. Taylor confessed that the song was about Perry, admitting that “we’re straight up enemies.”

Perry had responded to Swift’s taunts on Twitter with lines like “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

John Mayer, who attended the birthday bash decked in a fitted black suit, dated Taylor Swift back in 2009. In the song “Dear John,” Taylor had sung about Mayer taking advantage of her as a teenager. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mayer had slammed it as a lousy thing to do.
