‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Jason And Sam Really Be Leaving Port Charles For Good?

A lot has happened on General Hospital this past couple of weeks that has affected so many lives. The sudden death of Morgan Corinthos has left his loved ones grieving and finding someone to blame. While not related by blood, Jason Morgan still has a close attachment to the family and is now rethinking his own life after this tragedy. He and Sam had a serious chat about their future on Friday’s episode about leaving Port Charles. Is this popular couple really bailing?

Jason had brought up the subject to his wife about the possibility of leaving town and starting a new life elsewhere. This would be a big step for them as Sam reminded Jason that they would be leaving their loved ones behind, including her mother who needs her right now, and her two younger sisters. Morgan’s death has affected them as well. Jason has been trying to be a comfort to Sonny, Carly, and Michael, but they all seem to be falling apart. This week on General Hospital will have Jason getting more involved in this whole mess surrounding Morgan’s death and the investigation into it, as reported by Soaps She Knows.

In between his bliss of becoming a daddy for the second time and spending time with Sam and Danny, Jason is expected to have a confrontation with Sonny. He has spent time with Carly, who is blaming her husband for the car bomb that killed their son. Jason has always been there for her, but this may just get in the way of his relationship with Sonny now that those two are living apart.

The former hitman will also be chatting with Curtis about his investigation that he has been hired to do by Julian Jerome into the car bomb that was meant for him. Jason will warn Curtis on being entangled with the Jerome family. He is playing a dangerous game working for Julian and Jason knows it all too well. Will Curtis heed his warning?

Speaking of dangerous games, this is exactly what Jason Morgan was taking about to Sam on Friday’s episode of General Hospital. He fears for his family getting caught in the middle of the mob wars just like Morgan did. He only wants them to be safe from it all, which is why he wants to leave Port Charles.

Sam was reluctant at first, but then she mentioned a small town about an hour away that would be far enough to stay out of the mob chaos, but close enough to be able to visit family and loved ones whenever they want. However, trouble could always find them wherever they are since Jason’s former occupation could put him and his family as targets the rest of their lives.

Many General Hospital fans have been clamoring for Jason and Sam to get back together. It had been a long time coming, but they are finally remarried and expecting their second child. Viewers were just settling down to watch this pair expand their family and live happily ever after. Despite the fact that most soap couples do not end up together forever, there was no reason to suspect that Jason and Sam would be leaving the ABC soap. Is this just a tease from the writers and they are not going anywhere at all?

There have been rumors and speculations about the role of Jason Morgan, played now by Billy Miller, ever since former GH star, Steve Burton, announced his December departure from The Young and the Restless. Burton’s fans have been excited to think that he could be coming back into his role as Stone Cold on General Hospital. However, Billy Miller fans are not happy about this prospect as they have supported this new Jason and they want to keep him right where he is.

As mentioned by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Miller’s contract ends in October, and there is no word yet on whether negotiations have been completed or not. There have been a few contract snags recently on the show. The most heartbreaking one has been the release of Tyler Christopher from the daytime drama because of failed contract negotiations.

As for Kelly Monaco who plays Sam Morgan, there has been no recent mention of her wanting to leave General Hospital, so who knows how this will all play out. This could all just be a ploy to make fans think that Jason and Sam want to leave town to start a new life, but then they get sucked back into staying put. Friday’s show certainly planted the seed that this couple will be gone soon.
