Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Reunite For Star-Studded Halloween Bash [Pics]
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reunited, for however briefly, for a Halloween party at Carey’s home in Los Angeles Saturday night, E! News reports.
Cary and Cannon were married from 2008 to 2015 and have five-year-old twins named Moroccan and Monroe together.
The twins attended the party with their estranged parents. Moroccan and Cannon dressed as the Super Mario Brothers, Monroe dressed as Rapunzel from the Disney film Tangled, and Carey opted to go as a sexy devil.

Other celebrities in attendance at Carey’s Halloween bash Saturday included R&B singer-songwriter Tameka “Tiny” Cottie, championship boxer Floyd Mayweather, rapper and actor Master P, and singer and actress Tamar Braxton, “who brought her whole family along,” according to E! News.
Nick Cannon, 35, is perhaps best known for his leading roles in films such as Drumline (2002) and Spike Lee’s Chi-raq (2015), or his TV shows The Nick Cannon Show and Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out. He’s also released two studio hip-hop albums and was involved with a lengthy and high-profile feud with rapper Eminem, as MTV News and others have reported.
Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in December of 2014, six years after the two wed, an US Weekly article from July reports. Despite being the one who filed for the divorce, rumors later surfaced that Cannon had second thoughts and refused to sign the divorce papers, according to Extra.
When asked about the rumors, Cannon denied he was intentionally stalling the divorce.
“There’s nothing to tell…the media has a problem of sensationalism…me and Mariah get along great, and it’s a process, nobody is holding nothing up,” he told Extra. “Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy.”
He then praised Carey and said that their children were the priority for both of them.
“She is such a beautiful spirit, and we put the kids first,” Cannon said.

Carey, 46, also opened up about the divorce with US Weekly.
“I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced. Like, ‘Oh, great job. Repeat your past,'” she told US Weekly. “But life happens. And it was supposed to happen. It’s fine. For them, I wish it hadn’t happened that way. For me, it was…[singing Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams’ ‘Too Much, Too Little, Too Late’] Guess it’s over. Call it a day.”
Carey has sold tens of millions of albums and had dozens of hit singles since the release of her first studio album, the self-titled Mariah Carey, in 1991. Among her greatest hits are “Love Takes Time,” “One Sweet Day,” “Vision of Love,” and “We Belong Together,” which held the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for 14 weeks, according to Billboard Magazine.
Like Cannon, Carey doesn’t limit herself to one art form. While she’s always focused on music, she has also appeared in films such as WiseGirls (2002) and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (2008), as well as TV shows like American Dad! and Ally McBeal. She has a voice role in the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie (2017).
Prior to her marriage to Cannon, Carey was married to music executive Tommy Mottola (1993 to 1998) and Mexican singer Luis Miguel (1997 to 2001). In January of 2016 she became engaged to billionaire Australian businessman James Packer, Vogue reports.
Despite their divorce, Carey and Cannon have remained amicable and have often been seen together spending time with their children, E! News has previously reported.
The couple posted several pics of themselves and Moroccan and Monroe decked in in their Halloween costumes on social media Saturday.
While we’re likely to see Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey reunite as friends for the sake of their children again in the future, Carey’s engagement to Packer dashes any hopes fans may have harbored of a more permanent reunion.
