Heartbreaking Scene As Mosul Girl Cries When Soldiers Come To Rescue Village From ISIS, ‘I Thought You’d Never Come’ [Video]

A heartbreaking introduction between a 10-year-old girl and soldiers that rescued her village from ISIS demonstrates the innocence that is often forgotten in times of war.

The viral video shows 10-year-old Aysha, from the village of Kafer, weeping as she thanks soldiers for saving her village from ISIS’s evil grip of terror.

Kafer, according to Metro, has been under ISIS’s terrorist rule for the past two years. During that time, her father has been murdered by the ISIS forces and her mother has been robbed of everything they own that is worth value.

After two horrific years, Aysha is overcome with emotion as the ally troops entered her village and freed her from the terrorist rule of ISIS’s forces.

As the village was freed from terrorist control, video cameras captured the emotional moments and the genuine appreciation that Aysha gave to the heroic soldiers that braved their lives to set her free.

“I’m so thankful to you. I thought you would never come for us. We have had no food or water for three days and it was just me and my mother.”

As soldiers passed out water and rations to the villagers, Aysha took the time to approach the rescuers and give them thanks.

Overcome with emotion, Aysha told that she believed her village would never be rescued and that she would live the remaining days of her life as a slave to ISIS.

“I Thought You’d Never Come”

She told the soldiers that terrorists killed her father and that her mother was robbed of any valuables they owned. For three days, Aysha and her mother did not have any water or food, thinking they might starve to death under the hot sun.

One soldier replied to Aysha’s emotional comments by giving her a hug, to show that the world cares for her and her village. In response, Aysha kissed the soldier on his head and proclaimed that she would like to kiss his feet.

“Thank you, thank you, I would like to kiss your feet.”

During the heartbreaking moments, Aysha told the soldiers that ISIS took away many of the children in the village and no one knows what happened to them, according to the Mirror. Aysha did tell the soldiers that some of the children died during the terrorist reign of ISIS. However, those that were taken away are a mystery to her. Although, it can be assumed that the children were forced to join, and fight alongside ISIS.

Kurdish forces have worked diligently to reclaim Mosul from ISIS’s reign of terror. The massive operation has seen success, although it is known that many more members of ISIS are hiding within the city.

Seeing the genuine appreciation from Aysha, known as the Mosul Girl on the Internet, proves that all the hard work put forth by the Kurdish soldiers is not being concluded without notice. It also shows that even the smallest glimmer of hope has a huge impact on the struggling society.

More than 25,000 Iraqi troops are involved in the mission, with support from U.S. troops. It is expected that the large city of Mosul will be reclaimed in a matter of weeks, assuming all continues onward as it has been.

For at least two years, members of ISIS have raped, killed, and beheaded the citizens of Mosul, demonstrating their horrific power over the city.

Now, with the focus of the Iraqi army, people like Aysha have hope for the future and can focus on rebuilding a better and normal life.
