Leaked Video Of Julian Assange Dancing In Reykjavik Nightclub A Huge Hit

The WikiLeaks founder is once again in the media spotlight, but this time it’s because of a leaked video showing Julian Assange dancing in a nightclub in Reykjavik. Seth Sharp, Yale graduate and DJ, was spinning records at the Icelandic club when Assange visited, and he and Tommi White performed a song called “Blessed” that night which really got Julian’s attention. As Seth Sharp quipped on the YouTube video, “He owned the dance floor that night for sure!” And it’s absolutely true as you can see Assange taking up most of the dance floor in the video clip with his own very snappy style of dancing.

While the video of Julian Assange dancing is from 2009, it has once again become a massive hit for everybody who didn’t see it the first time around. Forbes reported that Julian’s colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg stated that he resembled a “tribesman” when he saw it, but admitted that even if he didn’t really have a lot of coordination, “He did possess a certain cool.” Seth Sharp clearly agrees with this and was very proud of Julian dancing to his song.

“Julian was really letting go and all over the dance floor and I was really impressed at his lack of shyness. So I filmed him and took photos. His white hair was also striking since the clientele at the club was usually much younger looking.”

Things have been exceedingly difficult for Assange lately, especially as Ecuador has just cut the power to the internet for him. After WikiLeaks released hacked e-mails from the campaign of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, the Ecuadorian Embassy decided enough was enough and bowed to pressure to stop Julian from revealing anything else that might be potentially embarrassing. The only thing the embassy has said so far is that they didn’t want anything to possibly harm the upcoming U.S. election. They have said that it is not their plan to evict him, but to put only a “temporary restriction” on his internet usage.

While Julian sits in his apartment in London sans internet, Ecuador must be seriously concerned about any implication that they are somehow involved in WikiLeaks and these latest hacked e-mail revelations. However, as many of Assange’s supporters argue, the truth should be made freely available, especially with such a very important election so close.

The latest revelation from WikiLeaks reveals the transcripts of Hillary Clinton giving three speeches for Goldman Sachs at events between June and October of 2013. These show just how close she was to Wall Street executives, something that Bernie Sanders once lambasted her for. Interestingly, she doesn’t seem to be a fan of what Obama and congressional Democrats accomplished with the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial oversight legislation, which was meant to protect consumers and bring about reform on Wall Street.

Clinton even suggested that this piece of legislation only came about because of “political reasons” and panic. However, once she decided to run for president, she decided that it would be wise to publicly side with Obama and endorse this act. This is just one of the many reasons that Julian Assange’s supporters feel that WikiLeaks shouldn’t be shut down, even temporarily. As the public knows they can’t rely on the honesty of politicians, they feel it is very important that we know what is really going on behind closed doors.

After Assange’s internet connection was cut, there was a major and coordinated cyber attack across the United States that completely shut down many websites like PayPal and Twitter. Julian’s supporters were told that he was alive and well and to please refrain from further hacking. So for all of those people who were seriously concerned about the safety of Julian Assange, you can rest assured that he is alive and well and WikiLeaks is still running. And if you need something to make you smile, you can always watch Julian Assange dancing.

What do you think about WikiLeaks? Should Julian Assange’s internet have been cut?
