By 50 percent more influential than any other human being. Don’t f*** with me. Don’t f*** with me. Don’t f*** with me. By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, ‘Ye.'”

Jay Z is taking a page from Swift’s book by laying low right now, but will he break his silence via social media like the “Blank Space” singer?

People magazine reported Kanye made a phone call to Jay Pharoah after the MTV Video Music Awards to share his thoughts on Pharoah impersonating him and Jay Z.

“It’s fine and all funny and everything, but don’t distract from our vision. It’s not a joke what we do up here. This music that we do is not a joke. What we do culturally is not a joke… I called Jay Pharoah right after the MTV Awards. I said, ‘I appreciate your show, but let me tell you about my story. Let me tell you about what I went through to get to that position …’ So we ain’t gonna have no black comedians going up stage spoofing the people that’s working hard to open doors not only for black people, but [for] any creators, anybody that wants to add a contribution to the world.”

“I would tell George Bush, in my moment of frustration, I didn’t have the grounds to call him a racist… But I believe that in a situation of high emotion like that, we as human beings don’t always choose the right words. And that’s why I’m here.”

“It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business… It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true.”

Mr. Carter isn’t sweating his relationship with Kanye, a music insider reportedly said to Page Six. The tension has been running high between the two rappers for quite some time.

“Jay can’t stand him. He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherf***er he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that.”

A source close to the rappers told Page Six their collaborative Watch the Throne 2 album and subsequent tour, for ‘Jigga,’ was all about the money. “Jay was like, ‘I’m gonna knock this out,'” the insider said. “‘We’re going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that.’ ”

According to Page Six, a source close to the two said they are “brothers.”

“It didn’t seem like Kanye was dissing Jay at all. They are brothers, closer than friends. Jay appreciates Kanye’s genius, understands his passions and eccentricities and is accepting of it all.”

However, according to Hollywood Life, another person supposedly close to West said he and Jay were “brothers.”

“That’s just perception… The reality is that Jay doesn’t want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private. They’re very much not the same person. Jay’s immediate circle is very insular, and Kanye is just a guy who always wants something in the spotlight.”

A source told Hollywood Life the moguls are not the best friends the public thought they were.

“Tension has been brewing between Jay Z and Kanye for years. They are friends but they have never been as close as some people think. Kanye is a polarizing guy, even to someone like Jay Z. He’s never been one of Jay’s inner circle.”

“Jay definitely respects his musical talent and creativity and they have had some good times together. But over the years Kanye has really started to grind on Jay. There is only so much he can take of Kanye’s up and down, drama filler personality.”

Is Kanye West Still Upset Jay Z and Beyonce Skipped Wedding?

Many feel Kanye is over Beyonce and Jay Z skipping his wedding and more hurt about North and Saint West never meeting Blue Ivy. However, a source tells Hollywood Life that Kanye West is still fuming from Jay Z and Bey missing his lavish wedding to Kim Kardashian.

“Kanye [West] is an emotional guy and he gets very upset when he feels people slight him or disrespect him… It hurts him. When Jay Z and Beyonce blew off coming to his wedding to Kim [Kardashian] it infuriated Kanye. Although publicly he said it didn’t matter, privately Kanye was incensed. He never got over that.”
