Brad Pitt: Maddox To Prevent Actor Getting Joint Custody Amid Angelina Jolie Divorce?

Maddox Jolie-Pitt has no plans to reconcile with Brad Pitt, a new report has alleged, just days after the 15-year-old was said to have seen his father for the first time since Angelina Jolie’s shocking divorce filing last month.

When Jolie filed the legal papers, it was revealed that an altercation on a private jet between Maddox and Brad left Angelina with no other choice but to end her two-year marriage to Brad, giving off the thought that there was some kind of physical quarrel between father and son.

Reports that followed would go on to allege that Brad has been battling his drinking and drug habit, laying particular importance on marijuana. Pitt’s team were quick to deny all of those reports, insinuating that Angelina was using her own PR team to paint a nasty picture of her soon-to-be ex-husband in the hopes of winning full-time custody of the kids.

Whatever transpired on the private jet seems to have been devastating enough for Maddox not wanting to be placed in the same room as Brad Pitt again. Sources believe that the 15-year-old is beginning to get to a certain stage in life where he wants to challenge his parents — his father, in particular.

An insider described it as normal behavior for a teenager, claiming that Madoxx Jolie-Pitt siding with Angelina Jolie and wanting to remain with her should not come as a surprise, for Angelina could very well be the nurturing one in the household.

Not just nurturing but also not as strict as Brad, who allegedly has a set of rules his children must follow in his presence. It was even reported that without Brad Pitt in the house, there would often be chaos in the household, with neighbors even complaining about the couple’s children running through the streets late at night, with no apparent curfew in place.

And if that wasn’t enough, Hollywood Life believes that Maddox is at the age where he can also influence his brothers and sisters to follow his lead. Since Angelina Jolie currently holds temporary full custody of all the children, Brad can’t intervene with Maddox badmouthing his father to his brothers and sisters.

“Maddox may definitely influence the other children, but he still has a right to his feelings to do what he needs to do to feel some sense of safety and comfort in his own life,” a therapist named Deborah Sweet tells the outlet.

“Maddox never wants to see Brad again,” it is further added in the report. “This is typical behavior for a teen, research would show that this is common with teenagers. Brad Pitt gets angry and they are in the middle of a divorce? Yeah, that is a pretty good recipe for a child to be angry.”

Angelina Jolie is said to have told close family and friends that she doesn’t want to remove Brad Pitt from their children’s life, TMZ adds. She just thinks it’s in their best interest to obtain full custody of the children. And since Brad Pitt is already placed in an unfortunate position, Maddox now has the chance to influence his siblings to think the same way as him.

Jolie could evidently walk out of the courtroom with full custody, and Maddox will have greatly contributed to the outcome should it be the case that Angelina does get what she wants.

But the therapist concludes by saying that the broken relationship between Maddox and Brad Pitt will eventually die out and they’ll get back on better terms again. “This does not have to ruin the relationship between Brad and Maddox and likely is just a phase.”

“But there must be repair in the relationship, and the repair needs to happen between the two of them, Brad and Maddox. And the repair would be facilitated by Brad taking steps, going to therapy to better himself.”

The divorce process between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is still ongoing.
