Taylor Swift Wants ‘Secretive’ Romance, Dating Ben Affleck After Tom Hiddleston Split?
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston had one of the most high-profile romances in the singer’s relationship history, photographed around the world. Now, after all that publicity, followed by the spotlight of her split from Tom, Taylor is seeking a romance that’s more “secretive,” and Jennifer Garner’s ex Ben Affleck just might be a candidate, according to new reports.

A source told Hollywood Life that while Swift isn’t trying to avoid dating, she has decided to choose someone more skilled at keeping a romance under the radar.
“She is not avoiding dating nor is she actively looking for a boyfriend, but she definitely wants to make sure the next person she dates can be a little more secretive about the relationship,” clarified the source.
In return, Taylor reportedly plans to follow her new guideline of keeping romantic relationships more secretive. That means no desire for cute nicknames such as Hiddleswift the next time around, noted the insider.
“She wants things to be less public, she is not looking to be the next Bennifer or Brangelina.”
And although Swift initially appeared beaming in all those photos of the singer with Hiddleston, that attitude of gratitude soon shifted to distaste for having a romance that was so constantly in the spotlight, according to Hollywood Life.
Taylor’s preferences when it comes to having her romantic relationships publicized have fluctuated, with her Harry Styles love affair in 2013 overflowing with sweet photos, followed by a more under-the-radar relationship with Calvin Harris.
Now that she’s single again and ready to mingle, has Swift chosen Ben Affleck for her rebound romance, with some on Twitter even coming up with nicknames?
Before shipping “Swaffleck” to celebrate the alleged romance between Swift and Affleck, those Twitter users might want to consider a report from the Daily Mail that denies the two are dating, despite In Touch magazine’s claims that they were considering a romance.
Taylor, 26, allegedly set “her sight” on Ben, 44, with Affleck reportedly requesting his Suicide Squad co-star Cara Delevingne to facilitate the connection, reported In Touch. Swift and Cara are close pals.
In Touch also alleged that Ben and Taylor were enjoying flirting via text messages, with the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer reportedly desiring to take the relationship “to the next level.” The media outlet cited a source describing the situation.
“She’s made it clear to Ben that she’s interested – and Taylor always gets what she wants.”
Affleck allegedly felt the same way, with a crush on Swift originating from their meeting on her 1989 World Tour, when he took his little girls Violet, 10 and Seraphina, 7, to enjoy her concert.
“He’s enjoying getting to know her. He’s been sending her daily jokes and funny YouTube videos and has also sent flowers to her NYC apartment,” added the insider.
“[Ben is] slowly paving a way for romance.”
Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner revealed their divorce plans in June 2015. Since then, Ben and Jennifer have succeeded in staying on amicable terms as they raise their youngsters. In addition to their daughters, Affleck and Garner have a son, Sam, who is 4.
As for how Jennifer allegedly feels about Ben’s reported feelings toward the 26-year-old singer, the insider revealed that the actress, 44, is among those concerned that a bad ending is possible.
“Everyone thinks he’s going to walk away from this romance embarrassed and the subject of another one of Taylor’s bitter breakup songs.”
While it is true that Swift is known for breakup songs, the report that she and Affleck are involved is fiction, according to Gossip Cop, which referenced multiple sources confirming that the two are neither dating nor involved in any type of romantic relationship.
