Ruby Rose Drops ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Movie Trailer, Rose And ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Director Reveal ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ Surprise?

Ruby Rose posted the trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter on her Twitter account. Rose stars opposite fellow model-turned-actress Milla Jovovich. Milla plays the role of Alice, who is “the only survivor of what was supposed to be humanity’s final stand against the movie’s undead hordes.” Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will hit cinemas January 26, 2017. Ruby’s cameo in the full-length trailer is brief. The 30-year-old actress is seen showing off her acrobatic skills.

“Hey guys I’m looking for a good face wash any suggestions?”

The action horror flick picks up after the fifth film in the franchise, Retribution, according to Variety.

Ruby got rejected from roles many times throughout her career. Her most notable rejection is from Netflix’s prison drama Wentworth. The Aussie actress was fed up, dropped everything, and moved to Los Angeles in 2013. Rose slept on a blow-up mattress in a rental with her rescue dog, Ru, according to the Daily Mail. The former MTV VJ took Hollywood by storm by starring in Netflix’s cult series Orange Is the New Black as Stella Carlin.

Ruby Rose, who was already a well-known media personality in Austrailia, told the Guardian how she got her start at MTV.

“I started off as an Australian model. I had so many knockbacks, having short hair and being rejected, and I always thought: I’m never gonna get to where I want to get unless I start looking more feminine. So I grew my hair, got [a hosting gig on] MTV looking like that, and probably spent six months doing MTV before I was like, ‘I need to go back to who I am.’ I cut my hair off and kind of got more in tune with who I was. And then because I got to be who I was, people were inspired by it. I got to host a radio show, I got a clothing range, I was the face of fashion week, I got to do a whole television show with kids.”

Ruby Rose Joining Pitch Perfect 3 Cast?

Ruby Rose posted a photo of herself with Pitch Perfect 2 director Elizabeth Banks. The caption coyly hints at a possible new project in the works. The comment sent fans into a frenzy and immediately flood her Instagram page with speculative comments about a possible film collaboration. Screenwriter Kay Cannon and stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson were already on board for Pitch Perfect 3.

“This BABE is everything… what are we up to????? @elizabethbanks two cheeky monkeys…”

Pitch Perfect 2 opened in May of 2015 and had the highest grossing movie-musical opening of that time, earning $287.5 million worldwide, according to the Hollywood Reporter. To date, the musical franchise has a global gross of $402 million, including 2012’s Pitch Perfect.

One fan asked, “Pitch perfect 3?!?!?!!!!!”

Elizabeth Banks, who directed Pitch Perfect 2, posted a mirrored photo to her account with the caption praising Rose.

“This gorgeous talented spirit @rubyrose brought some needed excitement to life recently.”

Another fan added to the Pitch Perfect 3 news.

“Heard some stuff about Pitch Perfect 3 today, Elizabeth Banks directed the 2nd one so this could mean you are in the 3rd one, if that’s true I love you even more.”

Would Elizabeth Banks return to the director’s chair in Pitch Perfect 3 after being replaced with new director Trish Sie? Is it possible Banks could be using her producer cred to cast Ruby Rose in Pitch Perfect 3? Fans could only hope.

Ruby Rose Discusses Gender Fluidity

Ruby Rose has become the unofficial spokesperson for gender fluidity. Ruby Rose sat down for a candid interview with Elle.

“For the most party, I definitely don’t identify as any gender. I’m not a guy; I don’t really feel like a woman, but obviously I was born one. So, I’m somewhere in the middle, which—in my perfect imagination—is like having the best of both sexes.”

Ruby told the Guardian something similar in 2014.

“I feel like I’m neither, yeah. Well, if I had to choose it would be a boy, a guy. I feel like I’m a boy, but I don’t feel like I should’ve been born with different parts of my body or anything like that. I feel like it’s just all in how I dress and how I talk and how I look and feel, and that makes me happy.”

When asked if Ruby is to be anatomically female, Rose says she accepts her body and is comfortable in it. Rose said she has undergone much therapy and time to reflect on whether or not she wanted to have elective surgery.

“I have a lot of trans friends, and I’ve seen them go through the surgeries. I saw the desperation that they had. I remember thinking, “Do I have that? Do I really need to go and put myself through that?” And I thought, No, I don’t. I really sit in a more neutral place, which I’m grateful for as well. I really admire the people that do it, and I think that they’re amazing. I just wish that there was more support for them. Because it’s an elective surgery it costs an arm and a leg — I did a lot of research into it. It’s not a priority, but it should be. It’s such a huge cause of suicide, a huge cause of self-harm. I think at this stage I will stay a woman but … who knows. I’m so comfortable right now I feel wonderful about it, but I also fluctuate a lot.”

“The true story of how one ‘sometimes girl’ (me) was surprised and brought to tears by a surprise ‘always amazing and giving’ girl @taylorswift… Speeches, hugs and the most beautiful jacket holder in the world. Coming to a screen near you… No I can’t believe the passing of the coat was caught so magically… ‘Are you sure Taylor?’… ‘I don’t know… I am really hot but also I don’t think I can have you hold my coat.'”
