Will Selena Gomez Get Back Together With Justin Bieber After He Allegedly Causes Her ‘Downward Spiral’?

Will Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s dramatic history with one another soon reunite them?

Although Selena Gomez, 24, is currently seeking treatment for symptoms of Lupus, including panic attacks, depression, and anxiety, at a Tennessee rehab facility and her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend is touring Europe, new reports suggest the two could soon be back together.

On October 18, iTech Post noted that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber would likely both be in attendance at the American Music Awards on November 20 as they are both nominees. As the outlet revealed, Bieber is nominated for five awards, including Favorite Album Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist, Pop/Rock, Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, and Favorite Song – Pop/Rock, while Gomez is nominated for two awards, Favorite Female Artist and Pop/Rock and Artist of the Year.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber dated for about two years from 2010 to 2012 and have been on and off ever since they called off their exclusive romance. All the while, however, both parties have been linked to other people. Although Selena Gomez isn’t believed to have been involved in any serious relationships since, Bieber has been active in the dating world and has been linked to numerous celebrities in recent years.

In addition to his latest romance with Sofia Richie, Bieber has been linked to the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin, and Sahara Ray in recent months. However, when it comes to a committed romance, Bieber has yet to officially confirm that any of the women listed were ever his official girlfriend.

Just weeks ago, Bieber was involved in what appeared to be a fairly serious relationship with Richie, but after spending time in Japan and Mexico, where they were seen kissing, they went their separate ways. Meanwhile, Selena Gomez has not been spotted with anyone since earlier this year, when she was rumored to be involved in a casual romance with Samuel Krost.

After Bieber’s romance was first revealed in August, a source told Life & Style that Selena Gomez was left feeling that she was “backed into a corner.”

“It was really hard for her,” said the magazine’s insider. “She saw Justin looking so happy and that really sent her into a downward spiral.”

As fans now know, that alleged “downward spiral” ultimately led Selena Gomez to check into a treatment center in Tennessee.

“Anxiety, panic attacks, and depression can be side effects of lupus,” Selena Gomez explained to People Magazine in a statement, referring to the autoimmune disease she has been battling for the past several years. “I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness.”

Although Selena Gomez didn’t suggest that Bieber, or any other one person, directly led her to seek treatment after feeling depressed for months, another report by Life & Style suggested that the singer blamed Bieber for her troubles.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were involved in a messy dispute on Instagram just two weeks prior to Gomez’s announcement that her Revival World Tour had been canceled. The fight, which was prompted after Bieber shared a photo of himself and Richie and threatened to make his account private, included allegations of cheating on both sides. Bieber also accused Selena Gomez of taking aim at him publicly in an effort to get publicity for herself as her tour dates continued in the South Pacific.

Justin Bieber has not yet commented on Selena Gomez’s current stint in rehab.
