K. Michelle finished the Hello Kimberly Tour earlier this year to promote her third album More Issues Than Vogue which reached No. 1 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

K. Michelle announced earlier this year that she is getting married to Dr. Sims and wants to start a family.

In an interview with The Shade Room, K. Michelle talked about Dr. Kastan Sims, whether she is returning to Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and her partnership with Jack Daniels.

Last year, K. Michelle revealed that she partnered with Jack Daniels as a brand ambassador after the company heard that she was a fan. In her song “Amen” K. Michelle said, “Jack Daniels is the only man I’ll ever trust.”

K. Michelle became the first African American person to ever partner with Jack Daniels and have her own drink.

In the interview with The Shade Room, K. Michelle stated that Jack Daniels made a call to do a contest with BET.

K. Michelle stated that she has known Dr. Sims for 18 years. She admitted that she went for the bad boy, such as rappers, ballers, or “the dude with the chain.” K. Michelle stated that it was not worth it and Dr. Sims is the best man she has been with in the last 18 years.

K. Michelle told The Shade Room that Dr. Sims doesn’t yell at her and her new man is no pushover either, which she describes as the perfect balance.

The R&B singer declared her love for Dr. Sims and stated that the loved up couple are already talking about having kids and starting a family.

K. Michelle has had relationships with high profile men, such as Idris Elba, JR Smith, and Von Miller. Some of her songs are inspired by her failed relationships and it seems like K. Michelle has finally found happiness.

K. Michelle told The Shade Room that she is working on her fourth album and denied getting any plastic surgery on her face or otherwise. She admitted to using fillers and has previously discussed having a butt augmentation and having it reduced on a later date.

Puff Lounge in Atlanta is K. Michelle’s restaurant and she is opening a second location. Michelle also started her own record label No Color, No Sound and she explained that the name of the label is in tribute to the diversity of African American music, which ranges from Country, Rock, Jazz, and Hip Hop.

K. Michelle stated that she will not go back to Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. K. Michelle revealed that she wrote a song for Nat Turner’s movie Birth of a Nation. The “V.S.O.P.” singer revealed that the movie made her reflect on African-American history and the way she represented herself on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

K. Michelle said that she tried to fulfill her contract with the reality TV show and she stopped immediately after.

The singer is planning on releasing new music in January 2017 and she will release some singles to support her fourth album.

In an interview with the Rolling Stone earlier this year, K Michelle spoke about her singing career and Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

“So when you see this girl on this ratchet TV show called Love & Hip Hop, and she’s basically fighting for her life, you saw me at the worst, and you saw me at the point where there was anger. You saw me at a point where there was a song in me, and that song wasn’t necessarily the song of who I was, but that song was what I was in that moment.”
