Angelina Jolie’s former nanny is taking a stand against her.
In a new interview, the nanny who cared for Angelina Jolie, 41, when she was a child, slams the actress for demonizing her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, 52, and using their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, as weapons.
“I’m speaking out because I want to send a message to Angelina, who I care about very much,” Krisann Morel, 63, told the Daily Mail on October 18. “I want to tell her, ‘Please don’t cut Brad out of the children’s lives. Don’t use the children as weapons in your divorce. And don’t demonize your husband.'”

According to the report, Morel was a close friend of Angelina Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer years ago and feels that Angelina Jolie’s current estrangement from Pitt looks a lot like her mother’s former estrangement from Jolie’s father, Jon Voight. After their split in 1977, Bertrand cut Voight out of her children’s lives and, as Morel recalled, Angelina Jolie and her brother, James Haven, now 43, were raised by nannies as they were used as weapons against their father.
“That is exactly what your mother did when she was breaking up with your father. And the result was you had a lonely and traumatic childhood,” Morel told Angelina Jolie during her interview. “Why would you inflict the same tragedy on your kids?”
“I am worried that Angie is repeating the past – repeating the same mistakes her mother made during her divorce and I want to get this message across to her before it is too late,” she added.
When Angelina Jolie was just three-years-old, Morel quit her job as a nanny due to the extreme bitterness and chaos of Bertrand’s household. According to the former nanny of Angelina Jolie, Bertrand often couldn’t look at Jolie because she reminded her so much of Voight and how Voight cheated on her with a drama student named Stacey Pickren.
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19 and requested she be granted custody of their six children in her filing. As TMZ revealed, Jolie claimed in her court documents that Pitt should only have joint legal custody, not joint physical custody.

“[Angelina Jolie]’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children… she was extremely upset with his methods,” the outlet explained to readers shortly after her filing.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began dating after falling in love on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith and in the years that followed, they adopted three children and welcomed three biological children of their own. Then, in August 2014, they tied the knot with their children at their sides at their home in France, Chateau Miraval.
In August of this year, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared to shoot down the ongoing rumors of an impending divorce by celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary and spending time as a family with their kids. Then, just weeks later, Jolie filed for divorce after she reportedly became “fed up” with Pitt’s “consumption of weed and possibly alcohol.”
TMZ also revealed that Pitt’s alleged drug use mixed with his alleged “anger problem” led Angelina Jolie to fear for the safety of their children.
In a statement to the outlet on September 20, Angelina Jolie’s entertainment attorney, Robert Offer, said her decision to file for divorce was “for the health of the family.”
