Shannon Beador Denies Setting Up Kelly Dodd: Was Shannon Just Caught In A Lie?

Shannon Beador seems to have a mission to get Kelly Dodd really upset and angry, possibly so she can prove a point. Maybe she wants viewers to see just how crazy Kelly can get on The Real Housewives of Orange County. During the girls’ last dinner in Ireland, she decided to order them all drinks, even though Kelly vocally said that she had no interest in drinking. Once the order had been taken by the waiter, Beador went behind everyone’s backs and got the shots to be double-shots. And many viewers felt that Shannon had a mission to get Dodd completely wasted.

According to a new Bravo report, Shannon Beador is now revealing that she had no mission or plan to set up Dodd. In fact, she just wanted to have fun, and she was just trying to make the night memorable since it was their last night in Ireland. In her blog, Shannon Beador opens up about why she decided to order drinks for the ladies, and something just doesn’t make sense in her explanation.

“I ordered doubles to get the ball rolling. We were on vacation and I was just trying to end the trip on a high and fun note. Yet Vicki, who had no problem accepting the drinks ordered, said that I had a ‘mission to get to get Kelly drunk.’ Give me a break. No one had an agenda… I didn’t, Tamra didn’t, and Heather didn’t. What I found disturbing is hearing Kelly say that if she has too much to drink, she is going to snap. Not normal,” Shannon Beador explains in her Bravo blog, sharing that she wanted everyone to drink — not just Dodd.

It’s interesting that Shannon says that she didn’t have an agenda in setting up Kelly, but then goes to the waiter to get double shots. In her blog, Beador justifies getting double shots for the ladies because she wanted to have fun during their last night in Ireland, but then she talks about how scary Dodd gets when she has too much to drink. And Beador downright calls Dodd disturbing. Why would she order double shots if she knows that Kelly will become disturbed if she drinks too much? That would clearly constitute an agenda.

“No set up my friends. I just wanted to end the trip on a high note. Vicki and Heather has a cocktail with me #VickiPotStirs #RHOC,” Shannon Beador revealed on Twitter during the episode, sharing that she had no plans of setting up her co-star, but no one seemed to believe her.

“There was an ulterior motive with what Shannon was doing. Period,” one person wrote in reply to Shannon Beador, while another added:

“If Kelly was Shannon’s friend, then yes all in good fun, but when you complain about someone and their drinking…..and then try to get them to drink, there is no way that there’s good motives there….”

While Beador didn’t have much to do with the way Dodd exploded in the hotel hallway, she was clearly shocked that Dodd didn’t want to drink what she had ordered. Dodd continued to turn down Beador’s drinks, and she kept ignoring her co-star’s constant requests to just drink water. It sounds like she had absolutely no respect for her co-star, which caused her to yell. Many fans are definitely skeptical of what happened, and many don’t believe that Shannon just wanted to have fun with her co-star.
