Kim Kardashian is traumatized after five armed men, dressed as police officers, held her up at gunpoint. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was robbed of over $10 million dollars worth of jewelry, including her new, upgraded 20-carat diamond ring, according to People. Kim was bound and gagged at her hands and feet, her mouth taped as she was thrown into the bathtub.
Will Kanye West urge wife Kim to enroll in self-defense classes?
The Kardashian sisters failed to take self-defense seriously in a 2008 Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode titled “Learning Self Defense.” Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian enrolled in a martial arts class after the DASH store was vandalized. During the class Khloe and Kourtney joked around while Kim revealed she did not find the self-defense session useful.
“I just don’t see how this is helpful for me at all.”
The Kardashian sisters goofed off, striking model poses and jumping on top of one another. The instructor told them the first self-defense technique the Kardashian klan could use is a “butt strike,” noting the “butt strike” is a major weapon.
Kourtney said in case of an attack, Kim could simply extend her butt and start running. Khloe said she didn’t think Kim’s butt would be useful for anything, but Kim said it’s a “good weapon.”
During the episode, Khloe told the instructor the Kardashian women has had some “weirdos” come to their store and vandalize the property. The Selfie author said she and her sisters don’t feel “protected.”
“By the end of the class, we feel really good. I totally think we can defend ourselves.”
The Kardashian sisters then went home to show the former Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, their new self-defense moves. However, the Kardashian klan felt their self-defense skills were ineffective, with Kourtney saying,
“I don’t think we know how to defend ourselves.”
Momager Kris Jenner took Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney to the shooting range to get a handgun to step up their personal security.
“I don’t think you’re prepared if something really serious happens to any of you.”
The Kardashian sisters felt uncomfortable and ultimately decided not to purchase a handgun at the shooting range. Years later, Kim, 35, would make headlines after being held at gunpoint and robbed in her Parisian luxury hotel. However, Kim Kardashian may benefit from self-defense classes.
Kardashian Robbery: Rob Kardashian & Scott Disick Hijack DASH Store With Fake Airsoft Guns
Later in the episode Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick dressed up as armed robbers to stage a robbery at the Kardashian store with fake airsoft guns. At this time, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney did not have security guards. Rob’s intentions were to make the Kardashian sisters take their security seriously.
“I just think it’s fun to f*** with them and just teach them a lesson.”
Rob met Scott Disick at a restaurant wearing a long-sleeved black hoodie and jeans. Rob arrived with a bag presumably filled with the robber costume Disick would wear during the fake robbery.
Scott joked with Rob saying he’s going in for “blood.”
“I’m going in there for blood, you got me involved in this, ain’t no turning back, kid.” Disick says, “Let’s really go rob somebody.”
In the next scene, Rob and Scott, dressed as two masked robbers in black hoodies, ran into the store, pointing guns at the Kardashian sisters and store employees. The men began yelling, “Get on the ground!” as Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe scream and run for cover. Apparently, Khloe recognized Scott, began laughing, and jumped on him.
“You guys have no security… You guys should have security… this should teach you a lesson.”
Kourtney then said they will definitely hire security guards to be there at all times.
“We will definitely hire a security guard to be here at all times when we’re there.”
Kim Kardashian Traumatized After Paris Robbery
Khloe Kardashian appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed Kim’s emotional trauma deriving from the Paris robbery. The Selfish author’s enrollment in a self-defense class could boost her confidence, help with feelings of helplessness, and assist in recovering from the trauma.

“She’s [Kim Kardashian] not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic, what happened to her, but our family is superclose and great and we’ll get through it together.”
An insider told Us Weekly that Kim vows to change everything. According to the website Lifehack, 1 million women are stalked each year in the United States compared to just 400,000 men.
“This incident was a completely life-changing event for Kim… She realizes she was living in a bubble doing what she was doing. She loved flaunting her wealth and being so public. She felt safe and never really thought about her vulnerability. Now she knows she was so naive. Everything has to change going forward.”

Kim Kardashian Escaped Robbery While Nude?
Kim Kardashian was not nude but in a robe on the bed in her Parisian hotel, according to Esquire, when she was robbed. The website Lifehack suggests wearing the kind of clothing that will allow full mobility as tight-fitting clothes could inhibit movement. Predators go through a “victim selection process” according to the website Roogirl. They will choose a victim with long hair or a ponytail which can be grabbed. The website explains they will look for clothing that will be easy to remove.
“Part of avoiding a confrontation might be the ability to run away from a potential threat, and you don’t want heels and a skirt to get in your way.”
After the Paris robbery, Kim has been spotted covered head to toe in loose-fitting sweatpants and more relaxed clothing.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has upped her security to presidential levels, according to TMZ. Apparently, Kim will have one team of two hired men accompany her wherever she goes. Additionally, the cars Kim drives around in will be completely “armed to the teeth,” TMZ reports. Kanye West has also met with owners of two top security firms.
Meanwhile, momager Kris Jenner is very concerned and involved in security meetings and plans to get protection for Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie as soon as possible.
