‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan Meets His Daughter Charlotte — Is This Sweet Little Girl Really His Child?

Nathan West has a new female in his life on ABC’s General Hospital, and it is obvious that he is quite smitten with her. He finally got to meet his long-lost daughter, Charlotte. Young actress Scarlett Fernandez made her debut on Thursday, and she is melting hearts already. Claudette surprised her baby’s daddy by bringing their daughter into town to meet him, but not everyone is convinced that mommy Claudette is telling the truth.

Not only did the little girl meet her daddy on Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, but he also brought her to his apartment to introduce his daughter to her future step-mom, Maxie Jones. Needless to say, that didn’t sit well with Claudette. In the preview for Friday that was posted by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the mother and daughter are in the park, and Claudette mentions that Charlotte has no idea just what she has done to protect her.

It is obvious that something isn’t right with this whole thing, and Maxie knew it right away as soon as she met the blond girl. She pulled Nathan aside and told him that this couldn’t be his daughter. She could very well be right, as many rumors are swirling that Charlotte is not Nathan’s child at all, but she is actually the child of Lulu Falconeri and Stavros Cassadine. This will come as a complete shock if this is indeed true, as Lulu and Dante are best friends with Maxie and Nathan.

The person that seems to connect everything together in this story line on General Hospital is Valentin Cassadine. He is the one who Claudette says she is hiding from. Her story is that she was dating him, but when she tried to break up with him, he became violent and threatened her and her daughter. She left and went into hiding with Charlotte, and this is why she came to Port Charles. She was seeking help from Nathan to protect his daughter from Valentin. That is some story, and Nathan believes the whole thing.

It was at first thought that Charlotte could really be Griffin Munro’s child since he and Claudette were having an affair at the time she was married to Nathan, but the DNA tests that were done proved that Nathan was the baby’s daddy after all. Still, Maxie was suspicious and thought maybe the test could have been rigged. Is she right?

Maxie has a good intuition, but her snooping into this trying to prove that Claudette is lying about this little girl may affect her relationship with her fiancé. According to General Hospital spoilers posted by Soaps She Knows, Maxie will not stop her investigation and will come up with some type of plan to prove that this is all a big scheme. Will her digging uncover some deep dark secrets that Claudette is keeping?

If Charlotte isn’t Lulu’s daughter after all, she could actually be Valentin’s child and this is why Claudette is hiding her from him. However, there has been talk of Lulu finding out that she has a child out there somewhere that Helena Cassadine had raised and Lulu would end up discovering her. That has not come into play yet, so this story line may just be the one that General Hospital fans have been waiting for. It could be that Claudette was the actual surrogate who carried Lulu and Stavros’ baby after he died. Somehow she could have been connected to Helena and hired her to take care of the baby. Now that Helena has supposedly died as well, this would be the opportunity to pass Charlotte off as Nathan’s daughter.

Of course, this is all speculation at this point. Viewers will have to wait to see what Maxie digs up. She could enlist Spinelli to do some digging for her as well. Valentin is expected to come back to Port Charles, but no one knows how soon that will be. He may know the whole story behind Charlotte’s parentage and could spill everything when he returns.
