Kim Kardashian Robbery: Kanye West Hires New Bodyguard, Kim’s Latest Lawsuit And Secret Paris Video?

In the wake of the Kim Kardashian robbery, the reality television star’s husband Kanye West has reportedly hired a brand new bodyguard to protect her. The newest personal protector comes with quite the set of skills too. In addition, there are new developments with regard to the Paris, France, robbery incident including a lawsuit against one website for its alleged false reporting, as well as a new video which has raised even more questions about what happened.

On Thursday, the Jerusalem Post reported the details of Kim’s brand new bodyguard. Reportedly, the newly hired helper is Aaron Cohen. He previously served as part of the Israel Defense Forces in the elite undercover Duvdevan unit. Cohen now runs a security company for celebrities and was rumored to have been hired specifically by West.

When asked about his association with West or Kardashian, Cohen was unable to confirm he was working with them, though.

“Because of the nature of my business, I cannot confirm whether someone approached me, but I can say that it’s unthinkable that a star of Kim’s caliber only has one security guard.”

Cohen has been crucial in the United States in helping to train security officers to fight terrorism. In addition, he’s offered help for actors in terms of learning hand-to-hand combat skills or how to use weapons for making acting scenes look more realistic.

He had previously appeared on Access Hollywood and discussed the Kardashian security situation, saying the Kardashians were “far behind” in terms of where they should be with their security. If he is indeed working for West and Kim, they are that much better equipped to deal with problems.

The robbery incident occurred earlier this month when Kim Kardashian was in Paris, France, for a series of fashion events. A group of masked thieves reportedly forced their way into the hotel where Kardashian was staying and gained access to her room. From there, they tied up the reality TV star and made off with approximately $10 million in jewelry.

As police continue to collect details and evidence from the robbery incident, Kardashian is reportedly suing one website over their reports. According to E! Online, Kim has filed a lawsuit against the MTO website for libel. The gossip site had a report in which they suggested she staged the Paris robbery. The report even compared the situation to being similar to what Ryan Lochte did in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her legal counsel indicated that it was more victimization against Kim after she’d gone through a horrific incident in Paris.

If that wasn’t enough, another recent report from The Sun of the United Kingdom seems to indicate Kim’s privacy was violated right after she was robbed. There is a new video that has emerged that was taken at the Paris hotel where the robbery occurred. The reality star was said to be unaware she was being recorded on video, which is against France’s privacy laws.

The person responsible for making the recording can face as much as a year in prison as well as a fine of 41,000 British pounds. That comes out to approximately $51,000 in U.S. money. As of right now, authorities are working in conjunction with Kim’s legal team to figure out who obtained that footage of her.

Kardashian has been completely silent about the whole incident since it went down earlier this month. She’s reportedly been laying low and there have been reports that she’s feeling some paranoia since the events in Paris. Most likely, one of the networks is going to end up getting the exclusive interview with Kim about the whole thing. One has to wonder who it will be. Will it be someone big such as Barbara Walters or Oprah Winfrey, or will Kim make sure her home channel, the E! network, benefits from the story?
