Nina Dobrev To Star In New ‘Twilight’ With Robert Pattinson?
New rumors suggest that the new Twilight movie will feature The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev alongside Robert Pattinson.
According to an earlier report from Celeb Dirty Laundry, when Nina decided to leave The Vampire Diaries, she was in a need of some good movie roles. According to one source, The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress had nothing high-profile during that time, and she tried really hard to grab a role in Twilight-related movie.
Earlier in September, Peter Wachsberger, one of the chairmen of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, talked about the possibility of a new Twilight-related movie. According to him, if the novelist Stephenie Meyer came up with any new idea with previously written characters, then the studio wouldn’t have any problem in making another film.
Ever since then, fans have been hoping for a confirmation from either the production house or from the franchise’s stars. Many can wonder that sharing screen with her ex-lover would be a bit awkward, but St. Vincent’s girlfriend stated in one of her interviews that she is open to all ideas, but she won’t be putting her personal life on the stack.
“I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”
Having said that, if the studio makes another film, then it would be extremely hard for them to convince both Kristen and Robert to again star as Ellen Cullen and Bella Swan. So, if there is a possibility of a new vampire-human movie then TVD’s former star, Nina is not a bad choice.
In one of her earlier interviews with MTV, Ian Somerhalder’s ex-girlfriend talked about her inclination towards Twilight movies and how she is a close friend of the movie stars. When asked by MTV News’ Josh Horowitz about her views on Twilight, the actress responded:
“I think that we’re all really happy for each other. I’m very happy that they exist because we exist because of them. Their success is our success. I’m kind of sad the movies are almost over.”
“Kellan [Lutz], Ashley [Greene] and the whole group—we all run in the same circles,” she further added.
Apart from this, there were earlier rumors that suggested otherwise.
According to iTechPost, there were rumors that the executive producers of The Vampire Diaries are considering Kristen for a cameo in The CW’s show. According to an unnamed source, it was also reported that the network and Julie Plec have been in constant touch with the Twilight alum and are negotiating with her for payment.
Meanwhile, a source revealed to Hollywood Life that Robert is more than willing to feature in a new Twilight movie. According to their insider, FKA Twigs’ fiancé wants to save his failing career and thinks that the Twilight franchise is his way out from the abyss.
“[Robert Pattinson] is more likely to come back if they make more Twilight films because he thinks it would re-spark his career, where Kristen [Stewart] wants to stay away from the franchise because she thinks of it as high school and she feels that she has graduated onto other opportunities that are more her right now. But if they pull up the Brinks truck to both of them they would highly consider it, because especially in Hollywood, money talks.”
None of the star’s representatives have confirmed these speculations about Nina Dobrev replacing Kristen Stewart in a new Twilight saga and starring alongside Robert Pattinson. But if there is any possibility of these rumors turning into reality then both Twilight and The Vampire Diaries fans will be very excited.
