Selena Gomez Is In Rehab, New Photos Of Singer Surface After Canceled Tour

Selena Gomez is back in rehab after symptoms of Lupus began to impact her day-to-day life as she toured the country over the summer.

Following months of rumors in regard to where Selena Gomez has been staying since cancelling her Revival World Tour in August, a source has confirmed the 24-year-old “Same Old Love” singer has returned to treatment to address issues of anxiety, depression, and panic attacks.

On October 12, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Selena Gomez has been recovering at a “private and quiet” rehab center just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

“[Selena Gomez] is dealing with Lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source close to Gomez explained to the magazine. “She can go to a very dark place.”

The rehab facility, despite being quiet, is said to be “super intense.”

As fans of the former Disney Channel actress may recall, she first entered rehab in 2014 after being diagnosed with Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease, one year prior.

“[Selena Gomez] was supposed to be recording, but she hasn’t told anyone when she’ll be back in studio,” a music industry source explained to the magazine.

A short time after Us Weekly’s report was shared, the second round of post-announcement photos surfaced, via Radar Online. In the photos, Selena Gomez was seen near her chosen rehab facility in Tennessee on October 7.

According to an eyewitness, Selena Gomez was spotted during a group outing at an arcade, where she reportedly kept to herself as her fellow patients played a round of mini-golf. In one particular photo, Gomez looked to be ordering food from a food court at the venue.

The first round of photos had been shared online by Selena Gomez’s fans over the weekend after the singer visited a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Tennessee. On Twitter, Selena Gomez appeared to be happy and content as she graciously posed for several photos and videos with her fans and staff members at the restaurant.

As Us Weekly recalled of her visit, Selena Gomez was accompanied by her mom and stepdad and acted just as any guest of the restaurant would. The following day, Selena Gomez reportedly enjoyed breakfast with her grandparents at Riverstone Restaurant in Townsend, Tennessee.

“[Selena Gomez] was laughing a lot with them while she was eating,” said an eyewitness. “She seemed happy and relaxed.”

On August 30, Selena Gomez released a statement to People Magazine about the cancellation of her tour. In her statement, the singer explained that her struggles with Lupus had led to mental struggles, which needed to be immediately dealt with.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” Selena Gomez explained.

The final performance of Selena Gomez’s Revival World Tour took place on August 13 in Auckland, New Zealand. As for the possibility of her canceled tour dates being postponed, nothing has been announced at this time.
