Coming into this week’s game, the Redskins hold a 3-2 record. Philadelphia has a 3-1 record after suffering their first loss of the season last week. Each of these teams believe that they can make a run at the playoffs and they both have a lot of talent on both sides of the football.

There is no clear favorite this week heading into this NFC East matchup. Both teams are capable of winning this Sunday’s game, which paves the way for what should be a very entertaining contest.

Philadelphia has to be excited by what they’ve seen from rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. He will continue to impress this week against the Washington defense. Wentz will throw for around 250 yards and three touchdowns while refraining from throwing an interception.

Matt Jones Breaks Out with a 100-Yard Game

So far this season, the Redskins haven’t received the production that they were hoping to get from Matt Jones and the ground game. Jones has recorded just one 100-yard rushing game, which isn’t getting the job done. He will get back on track this week against the Eagles and will break off another 100-yard rushing performance.

Philadelphia’s Defense Will Sack Kirk Cousins Five Times

If the Philadelphia Eagles want to knock off the Redskins this week, they will need to put pressure on Kirk Cousins. That is exactly what they will do, racking up five sacks. They have the talent to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks and will show it in full power this week.

The Philadelphia Eagles Pull Off a Big Win

While this game is going to come down to the wire, the Philadelphia Eagles will find a way to defeat the Washington Redskins. Both teams have playoff caliber rosters, but Carson Wentz and company will have a little bit more than Washington this week. It should be a very entertaining game and one that fans should tune in to watch.

Expect to see this game remain close all the way down to the final minutes of the game. Philadelphia may not have been expected to compete for a playoff spot this season, but they have proven that they are more than capable. Washington will suffer a big setback this week, but it is by no means a death blow.
