Jim Carrey’s Irish Ex’s Family Claims He Gave Her Three STDs, Launching Wrongful Death Lawsuit

The family of Jim Carrey’s deceased Irish ex is calling out the comedian for giving Cathriona White three STDs. White’s family is calling Carrey “pure evil.” They have filed a wrongful death suit against the actor for what they claim is his role in Cathriona White’s suicide, as they also say Carrey supplied White with prescription drugs.

Police were investigating how drugs in the names of some of Jim Carrey’s aliases got into the hands of Cathriona White, who used pills to commit suicide, says the Inquisitr. White died of an overdose of Ambien (sleep aid), Percocet (painkiller), and Propranolol (blood pressure/heart) which were all next to the bed where she OD’d. White reportedly left a suicide note addressed to Carrey, who had broken up with her in the weeks prior. At the time of her death, White was still legally married to another member of the Church of Scientology.

The family of Cathriona White is leveling some serious charges against Jim Carrey, and they say they want the world to know what the actor is really like, says PageSix. They allege that Carrey has hired high-priced lawyers to smear the name of Cathriona White. White’s mother, Brigid Sweetman, is speaking on behalf of White’s family.

“As a family, we want the world to know the truth about who Jim Carrey really is — a man that will give your daughter three STDs, lie about it, call her terrible names and demean her, use his high-priced lawyers to try and shut her and her family up, and then give her illegal drugs.”

Ms. Sweetman says that Jim Carrey “had the nerve” to play the role of grieving boyfriend after White’s death and behaved like her loss was devastating.

“However, the evidence shows this is nothing but a charade and pure fiction.”

White had also allegedly contracted Chlamydia, as well as oral and genital Herpes from Carrey. Submitted for the suit are documents that show Carrey testing positive for these infections, but say that he lied about his condition, saying that the sores “were from shaving.” When White came down with the infections, Carrey texted her to suggest it was from someone before him.

“I hope your (sic) ok hun,” he added. “It could be from someone before me. Doesn’t show up until you’re really stressed.”

The family also has other written documents, including text conversations where Jim Carrey asked White to sign an agreement releasing him from any liability during their relationship, and when White refused, Carrey got angry.

“I deserve better. You’re being overly dramatic and ungrateful and i don’t want to here (sic) anymore misery.”

But perhaps the most damaging claim is that Carrey gave White several prescription drugs just days before she killed herself and that Carrey should have been able to anticipate this considering her mental state.

“Carrey did so despite the fact that he knew full well that Ms. White (a) was ill equipped to ingest and manage highly additive prescription drugs outside the care of a licensed physician; (b) was prone to depression; and (c) had previously attempted to take her own life.”

This is the second lawsuit filed against Jim Carrey, as Mark Burton, White’s estranged husband also filed his own suit, says the Daily Mail. Lawyer Michael Avenatti says that the smear campaign against White by Carrey needs to stop, as he is just harming a grieving family. The papers filed by both parties allegedly provide proof that Carrey gave the drugs to White, and also gave her the STDs.

But Jim Carrey is accusing Burton of being greedy and trying to cash in on Cathriona White’s death.

“Is this the way a ‘husband’ honors the memory of his ‘wife?’ The real disease here is greed, shameful greed!”
