Selena Gomez Was ‘Happy’ And ‘Doing Well’ During Recent Visit To Tennessee

Selena Gomez appears to be doing well as she reportedly seeks treatment in rehab for struggles with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression.

Following an October 8 appearance at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Alcoa, Tennessee, where the singer enjoyed lunch, a source has spoken out, revealing that Gomez looked to be “happy” as she posed with her fans and enjoyed taking selfies and video clips.

“[Selena Gomez] was happy and looked to be doing well,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on October 10. “She was nice, friendly and respectful to the whole staff here at the restaurant. Selena stopped for pictures and autographs for anyone that asked.”

Throughout Selena Gomez’s time at the restaurant, several fans shared photos and video online, and within a short period, #SelenaIsBackParty started to trend on Twitter.

Selena Gomez’s outing on Saturday marked the first time the singer had been seen since she announced the cancelation of her Revival World Tour, which was supposed to continue until December.

In August, weeks after she was involved in a heated feud with Justin Bieber on Instagram, Selena Gomez told fans she would be “taking some time off” to address symptoms of Lupus, which included numerous mental struggles. At the time, drug rumors swirled but quickly, a source shot down the idea of addiction treatment to People Magazine.

Selena Gomez’s decision to cancel her tour and take a break is “absolutely not related to alcohol or substance abuse,” the source explained, adding that the hiatus was prompted after Gomez “hadn’t felt like herself” over the past couple of months.

“[Selena Gomez] decided to clear her calendar for the year to have this be her priority for future happiness and didn’t want to leave any promoters at bay,” the source continued. “She feels relieved that she can now make more sense of why she was feeling the way she was and is optimistic about the future.”

Selena Gomez’s final Revival World Tour performance took place on August 13 in Auckland, New Zealand and was followed by her fight with Bieber, which many believe may have pushed her over the edge.

As for what Selena Gomez was doing in Tennessee, a source claimed recently that the singer had secretly checked into an unnamed treatment facility in early September to face her mental health crisis head-on and “get her life back on track.”

“The facility is a women’s only facility in a secluded wooded area,” a source told Radar Online. “[Selena Gomez]’s staying for more than 60 days.”

According to the report, the unnamed center which Selena Gomez has reportedly checked into isn’t a large, high-profile facility. Instead, the source explained, the venue is a Christian-based center that will likely suit Gomez just right.

If Selena Gomez did enter a facility for 60 days last month, there’s a good chance that the facility she chose was located in Tennessee. That said, nothing of the sort has been confirmed, and Radar Online chose to keep the facility’s name under wraps.

What they did reveal was that Selena Gomez would be able to leave the center for group trips.

“Residents are allowed to leave as a group on occasion for day trips to the surrounding area,” said the source.

Selena Gomez told fans in August that she was ready to address her issues head-on and do whatever she needed to do for the sake of her mental health.
