Dancing With the Stars is a lot harder and nerve-racking than most people think.
Leading up to the latest episode, Amber Rose had a meltdown while rehearsing with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Was Peta Murgatroyd to blame for Rose’s lack of concentration?
Radar Online reports that Murgatroyd is extremely jealous about Rose and Chmerkovskiy’s close connection.
“Peta does not seem happy about how close Maks and Amber have become,” an insider shared.
Murgatroyd, who is sitting this season out because of her pregnancy, was attending Chmerkovskiy’s rehearsals before she was kicked out.
Apparently, her presence made Rose feel uncomfortable.
“It seemed to make Amber really uncomfortable having Peta there watching her rehearse with Maks,” the source explained. “Peta’s jealousy got even worse because she saw how close Maksim and Amber really are.”
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy joined Rose last weekend for her SlutWalk in Los Angeles.
Rose has clearly developed a strong bond with her dancing partner. Is Murgatroyd justified in thinking that she might lose her future husband?
“Amber and Peta are complete opposites and Maksim loves Amber’s energy and how carefree she is… People on set just think that it is Peta’s hormones that are causing her to freak out. She really has no reason at all to worry about losing her man to Amber.”
It might not sound like Amber Rose is a threat to Murgatroyd, but the stress of performing is clearly weighing down Rose.
During rehearsal for the latest episode of DWTS, Daily Mail reports Chmerkovskiy stopped dancing after Rose made a mistake.
“Don’t stop the dance. Why would you stop?” Rose asked Chmerkovskiy. “It’s just 20 times harder with these f**ing heels on.”
Chmerkovskiy assured Rose that she typically doesn’t make mistakes but needed to practice more to get it right.
“I don’t think you understand what it’s like,” Rose responded. “So what happens when it’s live? Are you going to just stop like that? What am I supposed to do?”
Rose continued: “It’s like, this f***ing dance is hard.”
Chmerkovskiy didn’t let up but eventually encouraged Rose to keep pressing on.
“Yes, it’s Dancing With the Stars samba, week five,” he told her. “Go back up, let’s run it again. Babe, I don’t know what you want me to say. Amber, these mistakes are not you. What are you worried about?”
“You have to turn around, the music plays, you go from beginning to the end, just like we did in rehearsal,” he added. “It’s fine. You got this, you’re good. Suck it up.”
Rose, who had burst into tears, wiped her eyes and then went back to work.
The theme for the week was the Most Memorable Year, and Rose chose 2013, the same year she had her son, Sebastian.
According to TMZ, Rose had an emotional breakdown because she wanted her dance to be perfect, especially since she was doing it for her 3-year-old son.
That being said, it isn’t known if Murgatroyd had anything to do with Rose’s meltdown and whether or not she is worried about Rose’s growing relationship with Chmerkovskiy.
Fortunately for Rose, this week did not feature any elimination, so she made it through despite the messy rehearsal.
If the love triangle continues to get the best of Rose, however, her chances of avoiding elimination in the coming weeks will only get worse.
Murgatroyd has not commented on her future husband’s relationship with Rose and why she stopped going to his rehearsals.
Fans can tune in Tuesday night to see if Rose makes it to next week on Dancing With the Stars.
