Are Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Still Engaged? Her Career May Be Coming Between Them
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been back on and re-engaged since earlier this year, but will Cyrus’ career aspirations soon lead to their split?
As Miley Cyrus continues starring on NBC’s The Voice, where she recently debuted her new role as coach, rumors are swirling about the possible postponement of her wedding plans as well as her potential split from Liam Hemsworth.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have had an up-and-down relationship in recent years, so when it comes to the possibility of their wedding being postponed, the idea hardly seems far-fetched, especially considering the amount of time Cyrus is now spending on her coaching role for The Voice. That said, with the couple making regular outings together throughout Los Angeles, a split seems highly unlikely.

Earlier this month, Miley Cyrus stepped out without her engagement ring, which quickly prompted the ongoing rumors regarding her possible breakup from Hemsworth. However, days ago, as X17 Online reported on October 10, Cyrus was back out in Los Angeles and wearing her Neil Lane engagement ring. According to the report, Miley Cyrus wasn’t wearing any makeup during her outing, but she still looked flawless.
As for her wedding plans, the outlet claimed to have a hunch that she would soon be eloping with Hemsworth somewhere tropical but didn’t reveal any clues as to where or any explanation for the hunch.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship began on the set of 2010’s The Last Song, which followed the couple as they first butted heads and later fell in love. Two years later, Cyrus and Hemsworth’s engagement was confirmed.
For about a year, Miley Cyrus and her fiance continued on with their engagement and were assumed to be preparing to tie the knot. However, in 2013, just weeks after Cyrus engaged in a racy performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards, their engagement was abruptly called off, and for years, they were seen in relationships with other people.

While Miley Cyrus appeared to be in a happy, committed relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger for some time, the couple ultimately parted ways, and at the end of last year, Cyrus was said to be back with Hemsworth. Weeks later, she confirmed the relationship was back on with a public outing in which she wore her engagement ring for the first time after she and Hemsworth called off their relationship in 2013.
In a new interview with Variety, Miley Cyrus spoke about her love life, revealing that while she may be with a man at this time, she’s not straight.
“My whole life, I didn’t understand my own gender and my own sexuality. I always hated the word ‘bisexual,’ because that’s even putting me in a box. I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl,” Miley Cyrus explained to the magazine, according to a report by E! News on October 11. “Also, my nipple pasties and s**t never felt sexualized to me. My eyes started opening in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick. I grew up in a very religious Southern family.”
“The universe has always given me the power to know I’ll be OK,” Miley Cyrus continued. “Even at that time, when my parents didn’t understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand.”
