Vicki Gunvalson’s Daughter Briana: Did Her Illness Influence Her Mother’s Dating Life?

Vicki Gunvalson was heartbroken when her relationship with Brooks Ayers completely fell apart while filming The Real Housewives of Orange County. He was caught faking his medical records, and Vicki wanted some answers, as she had been defending him to her co-stars for months. They were starting to question her loyalty, and she felt caught between a rock and a hard place. All Gunvalson wanted was a man in her life, but she wanted one whom she could trust, have fun with, and who wasn’t lying about having cancer.

According to a new Bravo report, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that she took some advice from her daughter, who was clearly struggling with her health this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Vicki’s daughter has been struggling with her health for a long time, but she really struggled this season, as a doctor operated on her and got her even more sick due to cross contamination. And while Briana was clearly struggling with her health, Gunvalson desperately wanted a man in her life.

“Now onto Steve who you met in this week’s episode. My daughter told me when I wasn’t looking, a great man would appear and it would be in God’s perfect timing. Well my daughter was once again right and God is good,” Vicki Gunvalson revealed in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, sharing that her daughter was right about waiting for the right guy to come along.

As it turns out, Vicki Gunvalson met Steve when she wasn’t looking. Steve Lodge was introduced last week to the ladies, and they have been dating for about six months now. Gunvalson admits that this relationship is so much better for her than the one she had with Brooks Ayers.

“He has blessed me with an incredible man when I was least expecting it. We met at a charity event back in April and have been inseparable ever since. He’s kind, he’s a Christian, has a great career, he has a beautiful family and my children and grandchildren love him. We are taking it slow, but we have a respectful, loving, and happy relationship and I am one lucky lady,” Vicki Gunvalson explains in her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Maybe Briana just wanted her mother to slow down a little bit, as she had been caught up in a media firestorm after Ayers admitted to faking his medical records. Briana saw her mother go through a public backlash, and maybe she knew that her mother would be criticized even more if she found comfort in another man’s arms. Taking it easy and following Briana’s advice was possibly the best thing Vicki Gunvalson could have done.

Even though Vicki has apologized for her behavior on The Real Housewives of Orange County, and more specifically to her affected co-stars, one can imagine they will have something to say to her once the reunion starts to film. And as Vicki teases, they are filming the reunion special soon, and fans can still be a huge part of it.

“I hope you are all enjoying the season, we are on the home stretch. The reunion films in a few weeks,” Vicki Gunvalson points out in her blog, sharing that she would like some advice about what to wear for the reunion, as one can imagine it will be quite dramatic.

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter giving her dating advice? Do you think Gunvalson should listen to her daughter more often, even though she’s been super busy with her health and taking care of her two sons?
