‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset For Oct. 11, Undying Mind Nightfall And Prepping For Raid Heroic Mode

Destiny takes a chance to breath this week for the first time since the launch of the Rise of Iron. The Iron Banner has concluded, and the Heroic Mode for the Wrath of the Machine Raid doesn’t arrive until next week, per Bungie. This gives PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players a chance to get caught up on completing other activities while grinding out ever higher Light levels for their Guardians.

The Nightfall this week is a challenge with the Undying Mind. Fortunately, the modifiers are fairly well balanced between those that benefit the player and those that work against them. Meanwhile, Tyra Karn’s Artifacts are mostly re-runs of those already released, with the Memory of Skorri possibly the most beneficial heading into hard mode version of the Raid next week.

The challenge mode twist for Gologorth is that all six players in the fireteam must hold his gaze at least once in the same phase. This means all six players must hold the gaze in succession without receiving the “You’ve failed to capture the gaze” message before passing it around the entire fireteam.

The rewards for Normal mode are a guaranteed 310 armor piece (excludes helmet) and a Calcified Fragment. The Hard mode loot is the same as normal, plus a 330 armor piece (excludes helmet), a 330 Artifact, and an Emblem. The regular Golgoroth loot rewards are also a possibility.

Court of Oryx (Guide) — Tier 3: Balwur

Destiny Court of Oryx Balwur (PlayStation, Xbox)

The Wizard Balwur may be the easiest Tier 3 boss to appear in the Court of Oryx yet. The hook with her is that the floor of the court is covered in poison except for the area underneath the platform and safe zones created by killing Major Acolytes. Balwur spawns on top of the platform, while Major Acolytes, Knights, and Thrall will spawn and move around the arena. The platform is poison-free but obviously dangerous, as Balwur will shoot players and drop poison clouds.
